The Worst Job In New York: Immigrant America
Subscribe to VICE News here: http://bit.ly/Subscribe-to-VICE-News Milking cows is a dirty, monotonous job, and as we found out in our latest episode of Immigrant America, it's not a job many unemployed Americans are willing to do. But for some reason the government doesn't give dairy farms a way to recruit foreign workers legally, so most feel forced to hire illegal immigrants. This makes the farms and their workers easy targets for immigration authorities looking to fill deportation quotas. We went to upstate New York to try to understand the cat and mouse game going on between dairy farms and immigration authorities. We found a lot of wasted taxpayer money, racial profiling, and a broken system that unnecessarily treats family farmers and hardworking immigrants like criminals. PS. Explain This: US Coal Jobs
Donald Trump’s executive order rolling back regulations on the coal industry targets those put in place by Barack Obama’s administration, including carbon standards for new coal plants and a moratorium on leasing public lands for coal mining. It’s not hard to see how these changes are going to hurt the environment. What is hard is to see is how they will bring back coal jobs. Ridesharing companies like Uber and Lyft have transformed the taxi industry. But what’s good for riders is bad for professional drivers. How to introduce yourself in a job interview
Have you ever wondered that why despite of having listed all the details about yourself in the resume, the interviewer still likes to start the session by asking you “Tell me something about yourself” The reason for this is that people like listening to information been presented to them in the form of verbal expression in contrast to referring to a printed document. Yes this simply means that they directly like to hear from the horses’s mouth that how would the candidates like to narrate the story of their life, in their own words. “Tell us something about yourself” doesn’t means that you go right back to your childhood memories and share tales of your first love or your favorite ROCK band or your obsession with Harry Potter; rather think about the awards, accolades or experiences you’ve had in your life. Consider the themes, personality traits and skills that come across through these experiences and introspect that which of these are the most important to get across through recruiters. Through personal introduction, the interviewer is giving you a chance to highlight all the key features of your personal and professional life, the top experiences you’ve had so far and the most influential skills you possess. Follow the points mentioned in the video, the next time you face a job interview and enhance the chances of you getting selected!!

Mining & Manufacturing: Harry Moser, Reshoring Initiative
As the U.S. manufacturing sector continues to grow, the importance of a secure, stable and reliable raw material supply is increasing. However, Harry Moser, founder of the Reshoring Initiative, explains that the current permitting process for new minerals and metals mines in the U.S. makes it harder for U.S. manufacturers to obtain the raw materials they need when they need them. It’s essential we solve the mineral permitting problem while we work to bring jobs home.

STRANGEST Jobs That Pay Well
These are TOP Weirdest Jobs that you can actually make a lot of money and get paid extremely well ! Subscribe to American Eye http://goo.gl/GBphkv 7. Food Photographer Photos of food are all over instagram and social media and it’s been a trendy thing to take photos of. But you’re telling me people actually make a profession out of this? Apparently so, and they can definitely rack in the cash. Making food look good is important for advertisers and there’s definitely a few tricks to this that you probably don’t know about. You ever seen those billboards for places like denny’s that advertise their pancakes with plenty of syrup? Turns out that that pancakes get pretty soggy and quick! Food photographers will use things like motor oil instead which creates a better image and for l,,longer. A decent food photographer who knows what there doing can make anywhere from 38,000 to 58,000 a year. 6. Certified Snuggler Some people aren’t looking for serious relationships. They just want you to cuddle and continue on with their day. They’re not there to talk, fix your problems, they spoon and it apparently stays G rated. Some of the clients just need a shoulder to cry on, have gone through a bad experience and they claim it’s very therapeutic. Cuddling and physical contact actually releases a hormone known as a oxytocin and without it, people can start feeling grumpy or irritable. According to some sources, 30 percent of all clients end up crying! It probably could get a little bit awkward but in recent years, it’s beginning to become a big business. These cuddlers are paid on average, a whopping $60 an hour. Do you think you have what it takes to do this odd job? 5. Scrap Metal Looters There are a tons of precious metals out there just sitting around waiting to scrapped up and sold. Even cars you see every day contain rhodium. platinum and palladium inside the catalytic converters. This part in the engine helps reduce the amount of smog into the atmosphere/ Vehicles such as SUV’s and large trucks have larger catalytic converters meaning scrap metal looters can rake in a pretty decent chuck of change. After this key component is stolen, the car will not properly work. Each one can be worth anywhere from 20 to 240 dollars each and aggressive thieves are able to snatch 15 a day. At this rate, a good thief could bring in 1,3 million a year, according to LA times. That should be enough to help this girl afford some pants. Other people who are after copper wire, risk electrocuting themselves for the payout. Thieves in utah managed to 6 miles of copper wire along a Utah Highway, showing how dedicated they can be. 4. Bug Sting Researcher Don’t really mind getting bit by mosquitos or other dangerous bugs? Think you could make a living from it? Try being a mosquito researcher. If you’ve seen the channel Brave Wilderness, the guy coyote pete will torture himself by stinging himself with tarantula hawks, bullet ants and other frightening creatures. But you better believe he makes money doing it. Being able to know these things affect the human body can be quite useful for people coming up with vaccines or other products. It seems like a pretty brutal thing to do to yourself but at least you. Salaries can range from about 50 to 60 grand a year. 3. Golf Ball Divers Those golf balls you casually hit into the lake are actually pretty expensive. Instead of just letting them go to waste and sit at the bottom of the lake, these people go and dig them up for them to be recycled. In some places this could be a little dangerous. It’s commonly known that alligators like to roam these bodies of water and that’s something these guys got to deal with to make a living. Qualifications only include basic scuba diving, general diving experience in order to receive a salary of 50k to 100k. The job can be seasonal with plenty of vacation time too. The water can be a little bit questionable when it comes to bacteria and different types of microorganisms 2. Human Statue Have you ever wondered what it was like to stand completely still for long periods of time and make a lot of money doing it? This strange job could actually end up earning you a good 25 to even 200 bucks an hours. This is something you might be accustomed to seeing in places like las vegas or from other street performers. But people also do it in front of store windows to model clothing and jewelry. 1. Ice Cream Taster/Food Scientist So could there really be a magical job such as tasting ice cream for a living. Yes but you got to be able to understand the chemistry of ice cream and be willing to maybe try out some gross flavors to see how it goes. Sure making ice cream seems like it’s fun and but there’s a little bit of science that gets involved. Some companies, especially in italy, are willing to pay 41 grand a year to eat ice cream and one professional, claims to have eaten 200 million gallons in just 30 years.

Best Interview Answer to "Tell me about yourself" YouTube Top Pick
Watch Don show you exactly how to answer "Tell Me About Yourself." Tell me about yourself is one of the toughest interview questions. This is an open-ended question, but really what the interviewer wants to hear is about your recent work experience and your journey that brought you to this point in your career. Why don't they just ask that question instead? Because they want to see where you will go with an open-ended question. Your answer to "tell me about yourself" tells the interviewer where your mind is. If you start telling him that you are a Cleveland Browns fan, then you are way off base with what he wants to hear and you have just made your first mistake. What do you want the interviewer to know about you when you leave, your work experience or your personal interests? I'm confident their hiring decision will be based on your work experience, save your personal interests for the water cooler after you get the job. Wrong answer to tell me about yourself: 1. "What would you like to know?" This statement completely throws the question back at the interviewer in somewhat of an insulting way and he/she is forced to reword the question. Best answer to tell me about yourself: 1. "What part of my work experience would you like me to talk about?" a. Now the interviewer can reply with a simple straightforward answer. Some interviewers want you to start from your first job and others only want to hear about your most recent job. b. If the interviewer would like you to start from your first job, assuming it has been several years since you had that job, then lightly touch on the jobs that you no longer hold, but expand on your current or most recent job experience and accomplishments. Focus on your answer and talk about your accomplishments from your current or most recent job and lightly touch on your daily duties. These are the things an interviewer really wants to hear. Because if he thinks you were successful at your past job, then you will be successful at this job. Even if you don't feel that you accomplished anything, look deep and think of something you did that helped the company. Or better yet, describe an accomplishment that you contributed to the company, just make sure it's in the same line of work. For example, don't take credit for boosting sales revenue if your job is to fix computers. • Briefly talk about your current employer. • Discuss 2-3 of your most significant accomplishments. • Talk about a few of your key strengths as they relate to the job for which you are applying and how they can benefit from your strengths. • Then discuss how you see yourself fitting into a position at their company. 1. Speak of how you completed projects on time and under budget. 2. Tell them how you increased sales revenues for two straight quarters in a row. 3. Describe of how you came up with a new procedure that saved the company money. 4. "I have been in the customer service industry for several years and most of my experience has been dealing with calls from our customers. I truly enjoy working with the people in this business as well as the challenges. In my last job, the good relationships I formed with my customers resulted in me holding the highest customer retention rate of everyone else in my department." 5. "One of my best strengths is my attention to detail. When I set out to work on a task or project, I always make sure it get's done on time." The bauxite producer has also invested into agricultural coops in China to raise crops and livestock. Jisco has plans to do the same in Jamaica’s breadbasket region. Exposing The Inhumane Conditions Of Burkina Faso's Gold Mines
Gold Dust: Under Blaise Compaore's leadership, Burkina Faso's unregulated gold rush has had a devastating effect on mining conditions. This report digs deep into the industry, exposing the corruption beneath Compaore's ruling. Millions of people - including children as young as fourteen - mine in an unregulated industry for a few golden grams of hope. Marcel toils underground to support his family - but without the glittering rewards promised. “We all have hope, we hope to earn” he says, but "they rob us here...They treat the miner like an animal." 17-year old Soumaele has been mining for two years. His thin body can go to even deeper than the older men, to places where the air is impossible to breathe and the tunnels are likely to collapse. Gold promises a great deal, but in an anarchic industry, teacher Soungalo Hema fears for the future of children like Soumaele: "You try and save them", she says, "but a lot of the time it’s in vain. "Joe, which airline do you work for now?" Finally, I can make an official statement on that, we´ll talk a bit about my previous airline and I´ll give you guys some advice on how to start your airline career! I´m sure many of you know that my former employer was Germanys second largest airline, Airberlin. I must admit I had the time of my life with Airberlin, who which I flew for the past eight years. Transitioning from the Beech King Air 200 to the Airbus A320 was a huge step, but I fell in love with the A320 from day one. I used to nickname it the "Babybus" compared to it´s larger mother the Airbus A300. But most importantly Airberlin gave me the wings I needed to start my career in the airline industry. So over the course of time , I was based for one year in Stuttgart, three years in Düsseldorf, which is an awesome city, if you have a bachelor pad like I had in the city centre. And after fours years being on the waiting list for my home base Munich, I got a call on my 30th birthday by my friend Patricia, who worked at human resources, saying:"Hey Joe, a colleague of yours cancelled his transfer to Munich, your next on the list, now is the chance to get transferred otherwise you have to wait for another three to four years." Can you imagine the birthday celebration that weekend with my boys in Munich, it was legen.... wait for .... dary! Another four years of Airbus flying out of my hometown, and it just couldn´t get any better than that. 20 minutes to work by car, nicest colleagues, which many of them just came from the Boeing 737. And lots of them kept saying, "Joe if you haven´t flown a Boeing in your life, you haven´t really flown a plane so far". I kept replying, "I would love to fly the 747 one day, that´s always been my dream". And having said that, a few months later there was an announcement on our Intranet stating, "Fly the 747 for two years via a temporary employment contract". You didn´t have to ask me twice, I immediately applied. I flew up to Berlin to have the interview and got to meet three very interesting people. The chief pilot, a psychologist, and a lady who was head of recruitment. The interview lasted roughly an hour, in which they were very straight forward about their pros and cons of their airline and so was I about my strengths and weaknesses. Don´t expect that from every airline, a lot of them just shine with their advantages but never talk freely about their disadvantages. Nevertheless, after a 20-minutes discussion, the lady from recruitment called me back in and with a smile on their face congratulated me that I could start asap. I was hooked and immediately wanted to get started. Sadly a few weeks later Airberlin called me up and said, Joe we´re sorry but we´re gonna have to stop the project, as we are going to face a shortage in pilots very soon and need every pilot to stay with us. So my dream of flying the 747 got ripped away from me. But see more what happen a few years later :) Thank you very much your time, wishing you all the best, and don´t forget "A good pilot is always learning"! 10 Secrets Hidden Inside Famous Logos
See more at www.brilliantnews.com Branding nowadays is absolutely everywhere you look. We are constantly bombarded with so many icons and logos that we rarely stop to look further into them, but there are some very interesting and bizarre secrets hiding within these 10 famous logos! 1. Hyundai Bet you think the H logo is just the first letter of the South Korean car manufacturer Hyundai? Of course you do! But it actually represents two figures: the happy client shaking hands with the Hyundai salesman, cleverly projecting the subliminal message of a successful car purchase. 2. Apple It was Rob Janoff who was tasked with creating the apple logo back in 1977. Janoff bought a bag of apples and spent the week sketching them, trying to represent the perfect angle where the fruit couldn´t be mistaken for a cherry. This was when he added a bite mark and stumbled across the similarity between Bite and Byte. This was definitely a selling point for Steve Jobs. 3. Vaio The first two letters in the computer company's name symbolize a digital waveform and the io is designed to look like a 1 and a 0, representing binary and the mix of analog and digital. Also the melody that sounds on startup actually derives from the dialtone sounds on a telephone keypad on typing V-A-I-O 4. Amazon Always aiming to please, Amazon designed their logo to represent a smile, projecting a sense of satifaction in their brand. Not only that, but the arrow also starts at ´a´ and finishes at 'z' implying that the company stocks every product you could possibly desire. 5. Toyota T-o-y-o-t-a. All the letters of the companies name can be found within the logo. But what does it represent? You're thinking A big strong buffalo's head or a cowboy with a hat, right? Wrong! It actually represents a needle and thread! This Japanese car manufacturer actually began making weaving machines and keeps its logo to this day! 6. Continental Sometimes overlooked, the continental logo is simple and clever. The first two letters are designed to symbolize a car wheel. 7. Toblerone This awkward-to-eat chocolate treat doesn't just have a simple mountain in its logo. Toblerone is made in Bern, Switzerland, so it´s no surprise to see one of the Swiss alps in its logo. But it also hides a secret bear hidden in the mountain, as Bern is known as the city of bears and the bear symbol is heavily decorated throughout the city. 8. BMW The German motor company started out making airplanes in 1916 and many think that the checker pattern in its logo represents the spinning propellers of an airplane. But it is actually just the design of the Bavarian flag, the part of Germany where the company originated. 9. Domino's Pizza In 1960 College dropout Tom Monaghan borrowed $900 to by a tiny pizza placed called Dominic's. 5 years later he bought 2 more locations. The former owner refused Tom the permission to use his name in the franchise so Tom turned it into Domino's. The dice in the logo represent the first restaurant that he bought, followed by the next two, and he had planned on adding numbers on every new opening. That was before he realized how big the franchise would become. 10. Unilever Who is Unilever, right? It's actually a huge corporation which owns over 400 famous brands. You've only got to look on the back of any of these popular products to find their logo hiding there. (Axe, Lipton, Ben and Jerry's, Dove, Heartbrand, Hellman's) But that's not all, the actual unilever logo is made up of 25 smaller logos, each with a rich meaning. A strand of hair or an icecream representing various brands, to more obscure references, like this bee... Which of these logos surprised you the most? Comment Below!

Truck Load-In at Vest Frac Sand Mine in the Permian Basin
One thing we do our best to maintain about our frac sand load-in process is predictability. The entire process from mine-gate to mine-gate is designed to be ten minutes or less. Frac Sand Load-In Process: This video was taken at our Vest Frac Sand Facility in the heart of the Permian Basin. The actual loading part of the process inside the silos takes approximately 2-1/2 minutes, during which a spout loads 23 tons of frac sand into each truck. To learn more about our loading process, click https://www.blackmountainsand.com/resources/frac-sand-loading/. Washed sand: Our Winkler White® sand meets the API standards for fracking with a K factor resistance comparable to Northern White sand. However, because our washed sand is produced in-basin, we eliminate an entire segment of the logistics supply chain––rail. As such, Winkle White® is available at a significantly lower cost than Northern White. To learn more about our frac sand solutions in the Permian Basin, click https://www.blackmountainsand.com/products/. Take a look at this color comparison of unwashed/washed sand at one of our Permian Basin facilities. The lighter stockpile is truly Winkler WHITE®, which is ready to be dried and screened before silo storage. Unedited color! https://www.facebook.com/blackmountainsand/photos/a.507386632965708/744577109246658/?type=3&theater Frac Sand Facilities: Black Mountain Sand has frac sand facilities in numerous active shale basins in the United States, providing 40/70, 40/140 and 100 Mesh sand to oil and gas operators and service companies for fracking. Our flagship product, Winkler White® is provided in the Permian Basin in 40/70 and 100 Mesh. For more info, see https://www.blackmountainsand.com/products/. Our Winter Garden White™ is available in 40/140 Mesh from our mine in the Eagle Ford Shale. This sand meets or exceeds the API standards for fracking and our proven K factor resistance enables for high pressure pumping without compromising the integrity of the sand. For more information on our Dimmit Mine in the Eagle Ford Shale, click https://www.blackmountainsand.com/frac-sand-eagle-ford-shale-dimmit/. Frac Sand Mining Jobs: Frac sand mining jobs with Black Mountain Sand have great earning potential in a booming industry. We have need of personnel across a range of skillsets at our frac sand mining facilities across the U.S. as well as at our corporate offices in Fort Worth, Texas. Why privacy matters even if you have nothing to hide
Why privacy matters if you have nothing to hide? Because privacy from you people who want to exploit you for their own benefit. You potentially spend more money on products than others and are excluded from housing, credit or employment market places just because advertisers use information about you that puts in a disadvantage.
