Intestinal Parasite (Cryptosporidium) / Disease in Cats

02:42
Cryptosporidium is an intestinal parasite that is commonly ingested through contaminated water, food or feces. The resulting diseased condition, cryptosporidiosis, can typically be treated effectively with medications. This disease is no more likely to affect one breed than another, and is commonly seen in kittens. The most common symptoms of cryptosporidiosis are fever and diarrhea. Cats will also display intolerance for food, or in more serious cases, will suffer from organ disease. Other symptoms include lethargy and intolerance for exercise.

How to run a Snap Giardia test.

03:05
For all of the breeders out there who learn best with "hands on" , instead of reading. I put this video together for you. If you have a cat with very smelly poo, a cat that seems to have irritable bowel, or a cat that seems to have blood in its stool every now and then, this test is highly recommended. I also suggest you run this test on all of your breeding cats. Many cats and dogs will have Giardia and never have loose stool. Symptoms will usually show up in the kittens or puppies that are born. Usually around 6wks. This can be one of the causes for "weaning diarrhea". Since this test is both easy to perform and very reasonably priced, I suggest this test also be done prior to any breedings to outside cats or dogs. (outside not meaning outdoors, but outside of your breeding program) A vet can perform this test or you can do it at home. The incubation period for Giardia is about 13 days so if your kitten or puppy tests positive for this parasite, please notify the breeder you got your kitten or puppy from. It is very important that they know.

Katadyn Hiker Pro Review

10:08
In this video I show the Katadyn Hiker Pro water filter in use and then finalize the review with an in-depth table top analysis. If you are in the market for a water filter, you need to add this filter as a serious contender. The Katadyn, pronounced "CAT-UH-DINE" Hiker Pro is designed with the ultra-light backpacker in mind, but works well for the general woodsmen, survivalist or bush crafter just the same. The filter purifies to 0.3 microns which removes bacteria and cysts to protect you from dangerous micro-organisms like Giardia, Cryptosporidium, Amoebic dysentery and the like. It does not filter for viruses, but unless you plan to use this in a third world country, you likely are not in an area where water-borne viruses are a problem. One such virus is Hepatitis A. For most individuals this filter will be more than sufficient in allowing you to collect and safely consume water directly from its source without requiring the time and fire to meet the need to boil, or to use chemicals or tablets and compromise the great taste of a natural mountain stream or spring. Below are a summary of the Katadyn Hiker Pro's specs: -Includes a field maintenance kit with cleanable filter protector to extend the cartridge life in challenging conditions -Approximately 48 strokes per min. provide 1 liter of clean drinking water -Quick-connect fittings permit easy installation and removal of input and output hoses; hoses also connect directly to hydration reservoirs with 0.25 in. drink tubes -Filter physically removes particles, protozoa and bacteria down to 0.3 microns in size, including giardia, salmonella, cryptosporidia and others -Glass-fiber element is pleated for increased surface area to handle silt and muddy water -Activated-carbon core adsorbs chemicals and pesticides to improve taste of water -To clean filter protector, simply swish it in the water -Pre-filter at hose inlet filters to 150 microns, removing larger contaminants before they reach the main filter to increase its life span -Ergonomic pump handle is comfortable and easy to pump -Includes a carry sack and bottle adapter that fits most water bottles -Approx. 11 ounces -6.5x3” with 36” hose

Is A Cat Parasite Controlling Your Brain (made with Spreaker)

03:03
Source: https://www.spreaker.com/user/defensivedrivingamarillo/is-a-cat-parasite-controlling-your-brain As seen on Defensive Driving Amarillo - http://wp.me/p5MvNk-7Q My grandfather helped to teach me to drive. He used to say, “Predicting what another driver might do, is like trying to predict the direction of a cat parade. ” It turns out that cats may have a lot more to do with our driving than my grandfather ever imagined! If I told you that an alien bug had invaded the brains of half the population, hijacked their neurochemistry and altered the way they acted behind the wheel, you probably wouldn’t believe me; yet something like this may actually be happening right now! Toxoplasma gondii is not an alien. In fact, it is so common that in some parts of the world as much as 60% of the population is infected with this parasite. Toxoplasma gondii is transmitted indirectly from cats to people and it has been shown to affect human personalities in multiple ways. For most that are infected, the symptoms are usually no worse than a mild dose of flu; but now there is a growing body of evidence that some of those infected people may have their behavior permanently changed. “Holy cat droppings, Batman!” Research has shown that women who are infected with the parasite tend to be warm, outgoing and attentive to others, while infected men tend to be less intelligent and probably a bit boring. But both men and women who are infected are more prone to feeling guilty and insecure. Dr. Jaroslav Flegr of Charles University in Prague, has studied several aspects of the Toxoplasma question. In one case he looked at the infection rate of people involved in road accidents. Dr. Flegr found that drivers and pedestrians who had been in accidents were almost three times more likely to be infected than comparable individuals who had not been. “But officer, I have a cat!” Dr. Flegr has also found other abnormalities in infected people. These included reduced reaction times and shorter attention spans, both of which might help to explain the accident statistics. Like Plasmodium, which cycles between mosquitoes and man, Toxoplasma cycles between its rodent and feline hosts, living out different phases of its existence in each. In cats, it resides in the wall of the small intestine and passes out of the host in its feces. These are then picked up by rats and mice where they form cysts in brain, liver and muscle tissue. Eventually, if the parasites are lucky, their rodent host is eaten by a cat and the whole cycle starts again. “I’m a cat lover, what should I do?” Keep your cat on a diet of safe cat food and, if possible, not left to feed off rats or mice. Dr. Flegr says “This isn’t about trying to freak cat owners out. Simply having a cat as a pet doesn’t mean you’re going to get infected. Of course, maybe some other parasite is making him say that.

Biopsy Rules Out Lymphocutaneous Sporotrichosis for Micobacterium Marinum

07:21
Patient-filmed biopsy procedure of lymph nodule to rule-out or confirm diagnosis of Sporotrichosis. Symptoms appeared from wound under thumb nail, possibly a splinter, sliver, or cat claw, spreading mysteriously through lymphatic system on inner arm, to above elbow. However, gardening or working in soil had not been a regularly-practiced activity. Without early diagnosis and treatment, symptoms by approximately 6-8 weeks rapidly exacerbated within the last few days, though there had been a period of 12 days with antibiotics. It was very fortunate that a quality teaching hospital was sought for diagnosis and treatment, as more than 25 residents/doctors were involved in consults. Incidence is extremely rare, affecting only 1 to 2 individuals per million. Eventually, the culture was determined to be Micobacterium Marinum, an even rarer infection, estimated to affect less than 1 in 100,000 (A.ubry, Chosidow, Caumes, et al, 2002). It was assumed that I was exposed when a sliver of driftwood got under my thumb as I was pulling it from my aquarium. The driftwood was purchased at a (questionable & dirty) aquarium shop. 575 hz Relief Cryptosporidium (Toxoplasmosis) - Isochronic [Brainwave Entrainment]

15:00
575 hz Relief: Cryptosporidium Cryptosporidium causes the diarrheal illness cryptosporidiosis. Other apicomplexan pathogens include the malaria parasite Plasmodium, and Toxoplasma, the causative agent of toxoplasmosis. Unlike Plasmodium, which transmits via a mosquito vector, Cryptosporidium does not use an insect vector and is capable of completing its lifecycle within a single host, resulting in cyst stages that are excreted in feces and are capable of transmission to a new host. A number of Cryptosporidium species infect mammals. In humans, the main causes of disease are C. parvum and C. hominis (previously C. parvum genotype 1). C. canis, C. felis, C. meleagridis, and C. muris can also cause disease in humans. Cryptosporidiosis is typically an acute, short-term infection, but can become severe and nonresolving in children and immunocompromised individuals. In humans, it remains in the lower intestine and may remain for up to five weeks. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cryptosporidium --------------------------- freq. lists: http://www.royalrife.com/lists.html Some spiritual and psychic frequencies: http://lunarsight.com/freq.htm Stimulating/Normalizing freq.: http://stenulson.net/althealth/stimfreq.htm Glossary and more links: http://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/ciencia/ciencia_cambio06b.htm

434 hz Relief Toxoplasmosis, Cancer (general) - Isochronic & Binaural Brainwave Entrainment

RUN and SWEEP are special programs. I think you can ignore the difference for audio loudspeaker listening. RUN is the mode, in which one frequency will be playd. If we listen brainwave entrainment, we normally use freq. analogical to sweep mode, meaning changing freq. from one to another in a row. Or you place the wanted freq. in a playlist. I think , that the duration of listening Brainwave entrainment should be similar in such hard cases of cancer. But it would get quick exhausted listening all time over headphones. The Binaural tones are just a bit less effective withour headphones (about 50% less), and the isochronic tone will workt also without headphones. http://de.scribd.com/doc/110527699/FAQs-on-Rife-Digital-Ultimate-Machine-and-Programming#scribd states: Sweep Mode allows you to sweep through all the numbers in the frequency set you haveselected for your condition.Sweep mode moves from the first preset frequency through to the last preset frequency for intervals of 10 minutes per frequency. Sweep runs in a continuous “LOOP” cycle, starting over and repeating the whole treatment again and again until you turn the unit off. This is the mode which is usually used, especially for the overnight treatments. If you wish toPause your session, press Sweep key again. To later continue treatment from where you leftoff, press Sweep key again. freq. lists: http://www.royalrife.com/lists.html Stimulating/Normalizing freq.: http://stenulson.net/althealth/stimfreq.htm Some spiritual and psychic frequencies: http://lunarsight.com/freq.htm Glossary and more links: http://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/ciencia/ciencia_cambio06b.htm Details video: 0:00-10:00 .............=Binaural and isochronic combined 10:00-13 minutes...= only isochronic tone

Councilor Button asks about details in the chart provided Council concerning concentrations of cryptosporidium oocysts with reference to raw or treated water. Goss explains that Portland (or other systems) will have to meet stringent standards. "So if they find 1 cryptosporidium in that 10,000 liters of (Portland) water it's not going to meet that standard" (for an exemption). He also explains that Crypto oocysts reproduce in vivo, i.e., in the body of mammals like humans or cows, and not in the water that carries them.

Zoonoses are infectious diseases of animals (usually vertebrates) that can naturally be transmitted to humans. Major modern diseases such as Ebola virus disease and salmonellosis are zoonoses. HIV was a zoonotic disease transmitted to humans in the early part of the 20th century, though it has now evolved to a separate human-only disease. Most strains of influenza that infect humans are human diseases, although many strains of swine and bird flu are zoonoses; these viruses occasionally recombine with human strains of the flu and can cause pandemics such as the 1918 Spanish flu or the 2009 swine flu. Taenia solium infection is one of the neglected tropical diseases with public health and veterinary concern in endemic regions.Zoonoses can be caused by a range of disease pathogens such as viruses, bacteria, fungi and parasites; of 1,415 pathogens known to infect humans, 61% were zoonotic. Most human diseases originated in animals; however, only diseases that routinely involve animal to human transmission, like rabies, are considered direct zoonosis. Zoonoses have different modes of transmission. In direct zoonosis the disease is directly transmitted from animals to humans through media such as air (influenza) or through bites and saliva (rabies). In contrast, transmission can also occur via an intermediate species (referred to as a vector), which carry the disease pathogen without getting infected. When humans infect animals, it is called reverse zoonosis or anthroponosis. Zoonotic transmission can occur in any context in which there is companionistic (pets), economic (farming, etc.), predatory (hunting, butchering or consuming wild game) or research contact with or consumption of animals, animal products, or animal derivatives (vaccines, etc.). The most significant zoonotic pathogens causing foodborne diseases are Escherichia coli O157:H7, Campylobacter, Caliciviridae, and Salmonella] In 2006, a conference held in Berlin was focusing on the issue of zoonotic pathogen effects on food safety, urging governments to intervene, and the public to be vigilant towards the risks of catching food-borne diseases from farm-to-dining table. Many food outbreaks can be linked to zoonotic pathogens. Many different types of food can be contaminated that have an animal origin. Some common foods linked to zoonotic contaminations include eggs, seafood, meat, dairy, and even some vegetables.]Food outbreaks should be handled in preparedness plans to prevent widespread outbreaks and to efficiently and effectively contain outbreaks.Contact with farm animals can lead to disease in farmers or others that come into contact with infected animals. Glanders primarily affects those who work closely with horses and donkeys. Close contact with cattle can lead to cutaneous anthrax infection, whereas inhalation anthrax infection is more common for workers in slaughterhouses, tanneries and wool mills. Close contact with sheep who have recently given birth can lead to clamydiosis, or enzootic abortion, in pregnant women, as well as an increased risk of Q fever, toxoplasmosis, and listeriosis in pregnant or the otherwise immunocompromised. Echinococcosis is caused by a tapeworm which can be spread from infected sheep by food or water contaminated with feces or wool. Bird flu is common in chickens. While rare in humans, the main public health worry is that a strain of bird flu will recombine with a human flu virus and cause a pandemic like the 1918 Spanish flu. In 2017, free range chickens in the UK were temporarily ordered to remain inside due to the threat of bird flu. Cattle are an important reservoir of cryptosporidiosis[15] and mainly affects the immunocompromised.Pets can transmit a number of diseases. Dogs and cats are routinely vaccinated against rabies. Pets can also transmit ringworm and Giardia, which are endemic in both animal and human populations. Toxoplasmosis is a common infection of cats; in humans it is a mild disease although it can be dangerous to pregnant women. Dirofilariasis is caused by Dirofilaria immitis through mosquitoes infected by mammals like dogs and cats. Cat-scratch disease is caused by Bartonella henselae and Bartonella quintana from fleas which are endemic in cats. Toxocariasis is infection of humans of any of species of roundworm, including species specific to the dog (Toxocara canis) or the cat (Toxocara cati). Cryptosporidiosis can be spread to humans from pet lizards, such as the leopard gecko. WHO. "Zoonoses". Retrieved 18 December 2014.
