Growing demand for batteries for electric cars and power storage is driving increased investment in lithium mining in Western Australia. WA is currently supplying more than 40 per cent of the world's lithium and a new mine in the Pilbara is the latest in a string of investments in the industry. The West Australian Government is now encouraging industry to build a battery factory in the state to capitalise on the boom. A funny video of my ex-fiancée Viktorija (my nickname for her was 'Bibi') when we were residing in Perth, WA in 2008. We used to clown around all the time and in this video we are pretending that Viktorija is a famous fashion model and I am a paparazzo/photographer trying to interview her / get her photo for a celebrity magazine :) Https://www.aboutjoe.com . However, breaking up was actually a good thing in the end - whilst I was heartbroken at the time (2009), in 2013 I learned that Viktorija (now Gudkova) had been charged with Attempted Murder / GBH with Intent or Conspiracy - something like that. Viktorija had conspired with a local criminal to cut the brake lines on Irenius Zaleckis' wife's car https://youtu.be/aL_h7BgXNdQ . The victim suffered serious injuries but survived... In 2017 Viktorija and her mother were convicted of the crime http://www.diena.lt/raktazodziai/viktorija-gudkova . Unfortunately women are not jailed in Lithuania. It does show the pathological traits / psychopathy of many of the people around me, who come into my life and abuse me, often when I am having serious health issues - https://www.jsrds.healthcare and/or distracted with InfoSec projects. I have to say Joanne Twitchie recognised Viktorija's issues at the time and did warn me. I was also warned about the Perth/Melbourne Fraudster Margaret Cunniffe by many of my friends in WA/VIC (such as Clare Woodward and Mary Cunningham). Funnily enough, this is another Staged Road Traffic Accident funnily, though not to be confused with the one that I was involved in 2015 https://www.noordinaryaccident.com - mine was pure Military Intelligence and I am back this week (07 January 2019) to resume various matters, after the Psychiatric Fraud and its sequelae - https://youtu.be/yYiULM9zzWY have really damaged my health... https://youtu.be/JX1jQjCm3xs .

This town was really cool to visit and one of our favourite towns in Australia that we've visited so far! Although the town isn't completely abandoned (there is still a couple of residents), as you drive around you really get the feeling of it being a ghost town. There are no government services provided anymore and the residents are responsible for all their own power and water. There is signage up every where warning you of the presence of deadly asbestos, which adds to the creepy feeling of the place! : Please subscribe for more great outback videos : © OZOUTBACK All rights reserved 2017. Video courtesy of Jamies Kilor At least four cars were set on fire outside the mosque in Thornlie, Perth, while hundreds of Muslims were praying inside, Tuesday. An anti-Islam message left on the mosque wall indicates the attack was motivated by Islamophobia. According to local police, a petrol bomb may have been placed in a parked car and an accelerant used to start the blaze outside the building. One of the vehicles was completely destroyed. Later, the worshippers found an offensive message reading "F**k Islam" sprayed on the mosque wall behind the burning vehicles. No one was injured in the attack. Several emergency and firefighter crews were deployed to the site. Check out these 10 countries with the largest gold reserves in the world! This top 10 list features some of the richest and wealthiest countries on earth that have tons of gold bars stacked up somewhere! Subscribe For New Videos! http://goo.gl/UIzLeB Watch our "SURPRISING And Interesting Facts About Money!" video here: https://youtu.be/ONpChSPqVc4 Watch our "Most AMAZING Discoveries With A Metal Detector!" video here: https://youtu.be/45JveYKafVo Watch our "Most EXPENSIVE Diamonds In The World!" video here: https://youtu.be/RcZATf3Lmb0 10.) India According to the World Gold Council, the Bank of India currently holds 557.7 tons of gold. It is one of the largest stores of gold in the world! This makes up 9.9 % of the country’s total foreign reserve. Foreign exchange reserves is money or other assets held by a nation’s central bank so they can back the national currency. India, home to 1.25 billion people, is the number one largest consumer of the precious metal. Furthermore, India is one of the most reliable drivers of global demand. For example, India’s festival and wedding season, which runs from October to December, has historically been a major market for gold. And probably, one of the most interesting facts about India and gold is that India rarely invests much in gold. This is because as a country, India operates under the belief that buying gold leads to a deficit. And their belief must be proving right as things also seem to be improving for India. For instance, if you look at the last few years, India has increased its gold reserves from 557.74 to 557.77. While this might not seem like a lot, India is also at its highest point in history! In addition to what the country holds, Indian households which are considered the world’s largest hoarders of gold, hold a record 23,000-24,000 tons, which is worth about $800 billion. 9.) Netherlands In the past few years, the Netherlands has held 52% of its foreign reserve in gold. The Netherlands has a reported 612.45 tons. In 2016 it was reported that the bank was looking for a place to store all its gold because they were going to renovate the vaults and needed to moving it. The Dutch central bank is planning to move the country’s gold reserves from the center of Amsterdam to a new complex called the Cash Center. Like most countries, Dutch gold is also held in banks around the world to reduce risk. Security measures to guard the gold 24/7 have become a problem in Amsterdam. 189,000 kilos of gold will be moved at the beginning of 2022. Maybe this is one reason that over the last decade and a half, the Netherlands was selling off tons of gold in order to reduce its reserve. However, there weren’t that many buyers out there and they sold less than the country wanted. More recently the country has had less ambition to sell gold. Currently, the country holds the same amount of tons, 612.45 that they have over the last few years. However, the country has increased its percentage of foreign reserves to 61.2 %. 8.) Japan Japan is another country which had been increasing its gold reserves since the 1960’s. Their official gold holdings were reported at 765.2 tons. About 2.4% of Japan’s gold today is in foreign reserve. Historically, Japan has always held a bit more gold than other countries. This was true until 2011, when they began to sell some of their reserve in order to pump money into the economy after the tsunami and the following Fukushima nuclear disaster. But even with selling, Japan’s central bank has been one of the most aggressive practitioners of quantitative easing. For example, in January of 2016, it lowered interest rates below zero, which has helped fuel demand in gold around the world. 7.) Switzerland Prior to 1997, Switzerland was steadily building its gold reserves. In 1997, the decision was made to sell some of those reserves to bolster the Swiss currency and diversify the foreign reserves. The percent of foreign reserves in Switzerland is currently 6.7 %. Switzerland actually has the world’s largest reserves of gold per capita and currently has reported 1,040 tons. Over time, many citizens in the country started to feel like the bank was getting rid of too much gold. They then banded together with the “Save the Swiss” movement. However, once everyone was able to vote in 2014, the vote came to a no, and gold continued to be sold. During World War II, Switzerland became the center of the gold trade in Europe, making transactions with both the Allies and Axis powers. Today, much of its gold trading is done with Hong Kong and China. Around last year, the Swiss National Bank made a $5.9 billion profit, reportedly from its gold holdings. A ride on the tram in Whiteman park, north Perth Perth Electric Tramway society (PETS) tram number 329, formerly from Melbourne the tram runs through Whiteman Park, which is also home to a transport museum, car museum, tractor museum, wildlife sanctuary and also a miniature railway unfortunately the 'historic' miniature railway was running a knockoff Thomas the tank petrol steam engine and we decided we wouldn't bother with that as none of our party was a 6 year old, which was a shame as according to their website they have some nice heritage locos that they use. :-( we were disappointed but there we go, we had this nice tram ride instead what also is a shame, that the tram society does not display any of its other trams or workshops for people to view what is happening, so even though there are lots of other trams, we could only look at this one find the tramway museum here www.pets.org.au

An abandoned explore I just happened to find by chance while out looking for an abandoned crystal mine not too long ago. While out searching for the mine I found this cute little cabin and what was even better was the very well preserved 30's caravan that had at some point been built into the dwelling. The cabin was cute and a nice little distraction from the frustration of NOT finding the crystal mine but the true star in this find was the van. Totally original, made out of Masonite and a restorers dream. I would love to be able to have this caravan to restore back to it's former glory and after some research on the type of van it was, found out that a restore van like this from the 30's is worth around $30,000 aus dollars. Money aside I would just love to own it. maybe one day I will head back and try to find out who might own it and see if I could obtain it. How it got to where it is now is interesting because I had to navigate some hairy dirt track to get to where it was plus try and cross a rocky river bed in my 4wd to get there. Anyways, cute little explore, maybe from the look of what was in the cabin a single guy escaping the world that may have had a slight drinking problem? Leave a comment and let me know what you think. I appreciate all your comments. Thank you to my new subscribers. Give me a thumbs up if you liked the video and see you next explore. Follow me in instagram @ https://www.instagram.com/mkuebler5/

Chillagoe is located 140km west of Mareeba. It was once a thriving mining town for a range of minerals, but is now reduced to a small zinc mine and some marble quarries. A highlight of Chillagoe was the remnants of the towns historic copper smelter ruins which was plagued by political scandal during it's operation until it closed in 1943. At it’s peak in 1917, Chillagoe had a population of about 10,000 with thirteen hotels, two newspapers, and a hospital. Once the smelters closed, Chillagoe plunged into a decline it has never recovered from. One person who is making the most is Tom Prior, born and bred in Chillagoe was a stop worth making to check out his historical collection of Ford vehicles. He has a unique collection from a Model A to 1965 Shelby Mustang as well as a red-trimmed white 1970 XW Ford Falcon GT 351c kept in a carcoon through to many older trucks and ex army vehicles in various condition.
