Two Way Slab Reinforcement In Detail.

07:17
This video describes how the the reinforcement is placed at the site. Two way slab is a slab in which the ratio of longer side to the shorter side is less than or equal to two. Types of two-way slab i. Restrained Slabs: The slabs in which the corners are prevented from lifting are restrained slabs. In these slabs torsion reinforcement is provided at the edges to prevent from cracking. It is also called slab with corners held down. When the slabs are prevented from lifting, the slab may be designed as per cl24.4 IS 456:2000. The maximum bending moment per unit width in a slab are given by following equations: Mx = αx w lx 2 My = αy w lx2 Where, αx and αy are the coefficient given by table 26 Cl D.1.1 and 24.4.1 w = total load per unit area lx and ly = length of shorter and longer span respectively Design · Slabs are divided in each direction into middle strips and edge strips. The middle strip being three quarters of the width and each edge strip one eight of the width. · Maximum moment calculated above is apply only to a middle strips. · Tension reinforcement is provided at middle strip extend in the lower part of the slab to within 0.25l of a continuous edge or 0.15l of a discontinuous edge. · Over the continuous edges of a middle strip, the tension reinforcement shall extend in the upper part of the slab at the distance of 0.15l from the support and at least 50 percent shall extend a distance of 0.3l. · At the discontinuous edge, the negative moments may arise depending on the degree of fixity at the edge of the slab but in general tension reinforcement equal to 50 percent of that provided at mid-span extending 0.1l into span will be sufficient. · Torsion reinforcement shall be provided at any corner where slab is simply supported on both edges meeting at the corners. It shall consist top and bottom reinforcement each with layers of bars placed to the sides of the slab and extending from edges to a minimum distance of one fifth of the shorter span. The area of reinforcement in each of these four layers shall be three quarters of the area required for the maximum mid-span moment in the slab. · Torsion reinforcement equal to half that described above shall be provided at a corner contained by edges over only one which the slab is continuous. · Torsion reinforcement needs not to be provided at any corner contained by edges over both of which the slab is continuous. ii. Unrestrained Slabs: The slabs in which the corners are not prevented from lifting are unrestrained slabs. Also called slabs with corners not held down. It is the simply supported slabs. Bending moment is given by: Mx = αx w lx2 My = αy w lx2 Where, αx and αy are the coefficient given by table 27 Cl D-2.1 w = total load per unit area lx and ly = length of shorter and longer span respectively Like Us On Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/engi.acad/ Follow OUR Blog: https://engacd.blogspot.com/ Thanks for watching. -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- Please watch: "RCC E03: Design of Beam for Shear[Theory]" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8OJGZhR2OlY -~-~~-~~~-~~-~-

Tutorial: Repair broken hard disk drive and recover your data. Beeping sound or clicking The software I recommend is the following: 1. O&O DiskRecovery 10: http://goo.gl/TEQ3hi 2. EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard Pro: http://goo.gl/LGpvhT You can use any of these you like, try them, and the one that is capable of finding your files, you can then buy it. The set of screwdrivers I used: Repair Tools: http://bit.ly/RepairTools In this video we describe the procedure of repairing your hard disk drive that makes funny noises like clicking or beeping. If your drive makes noises like this can be easily repaired. If you have any valuable date in the drive don't try to recover the files by yourself but sent it to a specialized data recovery company. Open the drive very carefully as shown in the video and move the head in proper position. Then plug the HDD back to another working computer and follow the steps that are shown in the video to recover your files. -------------------- FACT OR FICTION 2018 Quiz Game -------------------- You can download my latest Android Game which is called Fact or Fiction 2018 here: 📥 http://bit.ly/FactOrFiction2018 -------------------- MORE PROJECTS -------------------- Arduino Datalogger: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oei3Y6tOhVI Arduino Weather Station Project: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9jN-3DtS1RI Arduino Nokia 5110 LCD Display: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aDwrMeu4k9Y Arduino OLED display tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A9EwJ7M7OsI DIY Arduino: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=npc3uzEVvc0 -------------------- ABOUT EDUC8S.TV -------------------- Educ8s.tv is a Youtube channel and website which is dedicated in developing high quality videos about DIY hardware and software projects. (3:18) Step 10: Remove the valve core from the tire and slide the other end of the transfer tube on the valve stem. (3:25) Step 11: Raise the container to a vertical position to identify the reference point of the sealant in the bottle. (3:35) Step 12: Slowly squeeze the sealant into the tire and check until the suggested quantity has been installed. (3:52) Step 13: Remove the transfer tube from the valve stem and reinstall the valve core into the valve stem. (4:04) Step 14: Inflate the tire to the proper pressure. (4:14) Step 15: If the tire has a puncturing object, it can be removed at this time. (4:21) Step 16: Immediately drive the tractor three to five minutes to fully seal the tire. (4:34) Step 17: To remove the front tire, place blocks under both ends at the rear. A floor jack should be used to raise the front of the tractor. (4:46) Step 18: Slide the jack stands under the front axle and then remove the jack. (4:55) Step 19: Next, remove the hubcap, clip ring, and washer from the wheel. (5:06) Step 20: Slide the front wheel off the spindle. (5:17) Step 21: Locate the hardened washer on the inside of the spindle and put it with the other parts. (5:22) Step 22: You can now take the tire assemble to a tire repair facility. (5:31) Step 23: The grease fitting at the hub of the wheel should be cleaned prior to reassembly. (5:35) Step 24: Install the hardened washer onto the spindle followed by the front tire. (5:41) Step 25: Install the washers, clip ring and hub cap. (5:46) Step 26: Grease the fittings on both wheels and the front axle. (6:08) Step 27: To remove the rear wheel, block the front wheel on the same side. How to mount a window

03:39
To get the best performance out of your new windows, it is important to mount them correctly. When the window has been unpacked and you have checked that everything is correct, carry the window to the place of installation. Place the window on a flat surface. Remember to protect the frame by using some sheets as base. - SEPARATE WINDOW FRAME AND SASH Open the window and tilt it slightly so that both the sash and frame rest on your base. It is an advantage to separate the heavy window sash from the frame before installing the frame in the brickwork aperture. This will make the frame easier to handle and reduce the risk of errors. First remove the screws in the fitting when you are separating the window sash from the frame. Use a Torx T15. The fitting can be removed easily when you have removed the screws on both sides. Then remove the window sash from the frame by tilting it and disengaging it from the slides mounted on the frame. When the sash is to be installed again later, just hook the sash on to the slide rail in the frame and fix the fitting with the screws. You are now ready to place the frame in the brickwork aperture. - FIX THE WINDOW FRAME Fix the frame in the brickwork aperture by means of air wedges. Place wedges between the frame and wall in the corners of the unit. Then you can adjust the window until it is completely plumb and level. The window must be approx. 5cm inside the brickwork aperture to protect it from the weather. If possible, you can position the window 0.5cm further out than the old window so that it covers the old joint. - BLOCKING-UP THE WINDOW FRAME A top-guided window like this one must have permanent blocking on either side. Also place a block below the receiver and guide receiver - this is a burglary inhibiting feature. If the window is a two- or three-light window, you must also block up the window below the mullions. The blocking must have an abutting surface of at least 25 sq. cm and be made of a non-absorbent material. When the window has been blocked up correctly, you are ready to fix the window in the brickwork aperture using frame screws. - FIX THE WINDOW Make two holes on either side using a 6mm wood drill. Remember to align the holes with bricks as the window cannot be fixed properly in a joint. If possible, always position the screws in the rebate, where they are the least visible. The number of fixing points depends on the size of the window. The distance between the screws must not exceed 60cm. For additional information about correct fixing of the window, see the label on the pane. Then change to a 6mm wall drill and drill holes for the installation screws in the jamb. Then it is important to check that the window is plumb and level. - INSTALL THE WINDOW SASH The frame has now been fixed to the brickwork aperture, and you are ready to install the window sash in the frame. Hooking the sash to the slide rails in the frame is best done by two persons. Then secure the fitting. When the window has been installed, you are ready to joint or mount expanding sealing strips.

HOW TO FIT A WOODEN CURTAIN POLE - YouTube

To buy this wooden curtain pole online, please visit http://www.polesandblinds.com/rolls-woodline-28mm-wooden-curtain-poles/?colour=Light+Oak or to view our extensive range of wooden curtain poles please visit http://www.polesandblinds.com/curtain-poles/wooden-curtain-poles/painted-wooden-poles/ Please also visit our guides on curtain poles if you are unsure about which style of curtain pole and curtain heading you would like. http://www.polesandblinds.com/curtain-poles/guides/ Wooden curtain poles used to be associated with a traditional home style of decor, but now wooden curtain poles are becoming just as popular as metal curtain poles due to modern styling and the fabulous ranges of wood stains and coloured finishes. Many wooden curtain poles are also available with matching curtain holdbacks. For a very decadent window finish, some wooden curtain pole finials are finished with a contrasting colour or gilt. Wooden curtain poles finished in a natural wood stain look particularly attractive if they match other wooden features in a room such as wooden flooring, or wooden kitchen units and furniture. TIPS BEFORE BUYING YOUR WOODEN CURTAIN POLE. 1. Check that the curtain pole you wish to purchase is suitable for the width of the window and the weight of the curtains, bearing in mind the amount of curtain pole you need either side of the window to arrange the curtains nicely and to not restrict the daylight levels in the room. 2. If you want your curtain pole to match other wooden detailing in the room such as wooden furniture or flooring, order a free sample of the wood finish of the pole to double check that the pole matches the other wood finishes. 3. Check there is sufficient space from the end of the curtain pole to a returning wall for the size of the wooden curtain finial of the pole you wish to order. TIPS FOR FITTING A WOODEN CURTAIN POLE It is a good idea to check the fitting instructions supplied with the curtain pole as our fitting guides are a general guide and may not apply to your particular wooden pole. 1. The amount of curtain pole between the curtain finial and the wall fixing bracket only needs to be wide enough to accommodate one curtain ring. This measurement is normally about 3-6 cm. 2. Before you start to fit your curtain pole, clear all the ornaments from the window sill and move the furniture away from the window. 3. In some houses, particularly older ones, the windows and ceilings are not necessarily level, so when you are fitting your curtain pole, it is important to make sure the pole looks visually right (which is not necessarily level). An easy way to do this is to put a bradawl either side of the window opening in the position you think you are going to fit the pole fixing brackets and then stretch a string line between the two bradawls and then adjust the string line until it looks correct. It is always helpful to have someone to sight this for you by standing back from the window while you make the necessary adjustments to the line. 4. Before you finalise the position of the fixing bracket of the pole, check to see if there are any electric switches or power points that could have wires running in this position. Also check for heating pipes. If you are unsure, use a pipe and cable detector. 5. If your wooden curtain pole is supplied with a centre support bracket, once you have marked the position of the two outside brackets, use a string line from these positions to determine the position of the height of the centre bracket. 6. A useful idea when you are drilling the holes for the wall fixing brackets is to use a small box such as a screw box to catch the plaster and brick dust. So you can use both hands for operating the drill, seal the box to the wall under the drilling position using a single piece of masking tape the width of the box. 7. If you are using your pole as an eyelet curtain pole, make sure that the last eyelet ring at the end of both curtains is fitted between the fixing bracket and the curtain finial to secure the curtains at the ends of the pole when they are being closed. 8. Pinch pleat and pencil pleat curtains that are going to hang on wooden curtain rings should also have the last curtain ring fitted between the wall fixing bracket and the end of the curtain pole. 9. Before you finally fix the curtain pole, make sure you have the correct number of rings fitted to the pole to suit the number of curtain hooks you have on your curtains. Pool Motor - Humming-Loud Noise- Capacitor Replacement *UPDATE*

04:31
Capacitor replacement when a pool motor is humming or tripping the breaker. In this video I hope to save you hundreds of dollars that you may be thinking you need to spend on a new motor. It is quite common that a capacitor loses its ‘juice’. When this happens, a LOUD humming noise, followed by the motor shutting off occurs, (sometimes the breaker will also ‘trip’, but not always). There are times when you may not be aware of the capacitor failing until the pool gets cloudy, or algae appear. Many people are not home to hear their motor fire up, thus the capacitor could be completely dead before you realize it. Following are a few clues to know if the problem could be the capacitor. ---TROUBLESHOOTING AND TIPS--- Upon starting, if the motor makes a LOUD screech or hum…then shuts off, it is most likely the capacitor. It could also mean the shaft is frozen and won’t turn. (That’s a whole different issue which we won’t deal with here.) ALWAYS FLIP THE BREAKER OFF BEFORE ATTEMPTING ELECTRICAL WORK If your motor is completely dead, it could still be the capacitor. If you’re gone at the time your motor is scheduled to turn on, you may not have noticed it hasn’t been running. After a few days or a week of trying to start, the capacitor runs out of charge. I suggest to my clients to start the motor at a time when they are home, i.e., thirty minutes before leaving for work. The charge of a capacitor is measured in microferrins (It will either say MFD or look like a uF after a number). For instance, 30uF, 35uF, 50uF, etc. This is the number you want to match up with your existing one. You will also see 370VAC 50/60 Hz…ignore that. The number you want is the one before the uF or MFD. http://lucyspools.com/recommends/motor-capacitor-35.html http://lucyspools.com/recommends/essex-motor-run-capacitor.html In my opinion, it is not worth the cost to buy a Capacitor Tester unless you’re in the business. But if you want one, I have supplied a link for purchasing. The easiest and less costly way is to remove the capacitor and bring it into a local pool store (such as LESLIES) or motor repair shop. http://lucyspools.com/recommends/capacitor-tester.html Watch my video. One thing to pay attention to is when you are eliminating the ‘charge’ by placing a screwdriver across the terminals, please use an insulated handle. And don’t touch the metal part of the screwdriver. (Unlike me) If after changing the capacitor the motor still doesn’t run, be sure ALL breakers are on. Always push the breaker into the OFF position really hard, then to ON. Don’t ask me why…just the way some are. Check that the wires are connected securely in the back of the motor; your time clock is working; a fuse isn’t burnt out; or a relay isn’t stuck in the OFF position. If all else fails, best to call a knowledgeable repair person or bring the motor into a shop. This change will come into effect today. "League changes" Nightmare league will now start at 4000 infamy, effective for the season starting june 19th and onwards. Your final league placement will now use your highest infamy of the season instead of infamy at the time of season end when determining your final position and rewards. Impact Wrench Disassembly/Assembly

I bought a used air impact wrench which worked, but felt like something was wrong and it was making a strange noise. A good oiling through the oil port would have likely fixed the problem. But I decided to take it apart. So in this video I disassemble a Sears Craftsman Air Impact Wrench model 875-188840, clean, lube and re-assemble it. So if you want to know what's inside an impact wrench. It did fix the problem. **If the video was useful or interesting please give it a "thumbs up" and consider subscribing. -Website: http://www.RJTheBikeGuy.com -Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/RJTheBikeGuy -Subscribe Here: http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=shyflirt1 -YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/RJTheBikeGuy

How to Fix Sliding Closet Doors

02:36
Watch more Home Repair & DIY videos: http://www.howcast.com/videos/386865-How-to-Fix-Sliding-Closet-Doors Closet doors should effortlessly slide along the rails. If your closet door rollers work unevenly and get stuck, use these tips to get the wheels rolling again. Step 1: Remove doors Remove the closet doors from the closet opening by sliding the door half open and lifting the door up into the top track; then tilt the bottom out toward you and lower the door to the floor. Tip Place a throw rug or blanket on the floor where you plan to place your closet door once you've removed it. This will help to prevent scratches. Step 2: Clean track Inspect the track for any debris or stray drops of paint and vacuum debris out of the track with a crevice tool. Wipe the track with a damp rag or use a cleaning solution, and vacuum the tracks occasionally to avoid any dirt buildup. Lubricate as needed. Tip A sticking closet door may be rubbing against new flooring. If a taller floor is the problem, adjust the height of the door using the screws or knobs on the back of the door that control the roller height so the door will hang plumb. Step 3: Straighten track Examine the track to determine if it's bent. Tap the track with a wood block and hammer to straighten a bent track; place a block of wood into the track and then use another block to hammer the track straight. Tip Check the screws in the overhead track and tighten as necessary. Sliding closet doors may stick if the rollers have worn or developed a flat spot from use, so replace worn roller wheels if needed. Step 4: Adjust wooden doors Adjust wooden closet doors by using a pry bar to remove any tack nails along the bottom of the door. Cut oak wear strips to fit along the bottom, then sand the top and bottom of the door. Thereafter, glue the oak wear strips along the bottom. Step 5: Reinstall Reinstall the closet doors. Check to make sure the rollers glide smoothly and check for an even gap between the door and the jamb; adjust your doors again if needed. Did You Know? Wardrobes, or armoires, were traditionally used to contain weaponry.

Polaris Sportsman 850 XP EPS drive line noise and how to fix

05:32
2011 Polaris Sportsman 850 XP EPS- This video shows the noise and tells all the things I did prier to actually finding the problem. Video 2 shows how to fix it. The drive belt was Bad. Had Hot spots. . When I got it it had this terrible clunking noise. I lifted the rear wheels and found a few issues. The upper A arm was sloppy because the bolts were not torqued properly. I replaced the bushings on that right side, replaced the hub bearing and ended up replacing that right axle too.. Money pits. I still had a issue. It really feels like its in the drive train.. Transmission, rear differential maybe even to the front gear box or prop shaft just not sure at this point.. I know that I can take off in low gear and it pretty much does not do it.. Only in High which means its under a larger load. Thought maybe the belt could be part of the issue cause previous owner liked to do burn outs in his driveway so thought maybe the belt had some glazing.. So I have ordered a belt Any suggestions? Also a note: If your having issues with oil in your air box you need to update your breather system to the ones that came in the 2012 models.. Polaris has a kit to convert it over. see Vid 2 to see what the cause was and how to fix.
