RhythmNJustice w/ @SalimAdofo feat Alpha Phi Alpha @OHLAlphas Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Omicron Eta Lambda Chapter Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., Omicron Eta Lambda During the early 1980’s, the General Organization of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity began a movement to increase the number of active Brothers, for, even though at that time, the fraternity had made over 100,000 men into Alpha Brothers, only about 12,000 were actively involved in regular chapter activity and had met their responsibilities in paying Grand and Chapter taxes. One of the efforts involved Reclamation, which is the function of reactivating Brothers who for one reason or another, were no longer active. During this period, there were two alumni chapters in Washington, D.C.: Mu Lambda and Omicron Lambda Alpha however, there were many Brothers living and working in the Washington, D.C. area, who chose not to affiliate with either chapter. Simultaneously, the membership of Mu Lambda consisted mainly of Brothers who averaged fifty to sixty years of age. The membership of Omicron Lambda Alpha (OLA) was principally graduate and professional students. This left those Brothers, who were the young professionals averaging thirty to forty-five years of age, with the feeling that neither chapter suited their needs. Some of the Brothers who fell into this category were members of Omicron Lambda Alpha Chapter, and one of them, the late Brother Hubert E. Michel decided that perhaps another alumni chapter ought to be formed with the intention of targeting the young professionals in the area who were not affiliated with either of the two alumni chapters, and who liked the idea of community involvement. Bro. Michel spoke to then Eastern Regional Vice President Brother William Ross and Washington, D.C. Area Director, Brother Ryle Bell, also then a member of OLA, and they began discussions with some of the Brothers not yet affiliated with any chapter. Meetings were held at the home of Brother Duane Calloway with other Brothers such as Robert Warren, Reginald Lawrence and Jaru Ruley After about six meetings, it was determined that enough interest existed and that there were enough Brothers who wanted to start a new chapter. Eastern Regional Vice President Ross was contacted by Brother Bell and the paperwork was sent forward to charter this new chapter. On August 31, 1985, the chapter was chartered by the General Organization of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. as Omicron Eta Lambda with its seat in Washington, D.C. The first Brother elected President was Eugene C. Thomas. The chartering ceremony was held at Andrews Air Force Base in Suitland, Maryland on January 31, 1986. The chartering brothers are: Charter Members: Stephen D. Adams *, John M. Anderson, Ryle A. Bell, Jimmy B. Boyd *, Arnold Bullard *, Duane Calloway, Jesse D. Dawkins, Reginald L. Dunn *, Malachi B. Jones, Reginald B. Lawrence, Hubert E. Michel *, Willie G. Robinson, Jaru Ruley, Ray E. Spears, Eugene C. Thomas, Harry W. Taylor, Robert Warren, Jr. *, Jacob R. Wormley, III

m5bai CSJDM BULACAN council projects and events
“A Brief history of Magic Five Fraternity and Sorority” Sept. 21, 1962, 10 yrs. Before Martial Law was declared, Atty. Bayani Villegas founded CRIME BUSTER at the Philippine College of Criminology, the oldest fraternity in the association of Magic 5. The goal of which the organization was established was to organize the students of P.C.Cr. thus lessening the chaos occurring within the school. They installed student councils against criminality. On 1963, Madam Mommy Lucia Balboa Villegas founded an organization on Sorority. While attending school in Philippine College of Criminology, Col. Wilson Banzuelo Relox, a native of San Fernando, Romblon founded the 2nd brother of the group, the PHI LAMBDA EPSILON on Mar. 8, 1965. It was on 1966 that they decided to join forces with CB. The ALPHA RHO OMIRCON was originally founded in the University of the East Manila campus on Aug. 5, 1976. It was founded by in the walls of Philippine College of Criminology by P/Supt. Edgar “Billy” O. Perea (Member of C.B.) on Aug. 5, 1977 and they joined M-5, together with his co-founders, Dr. Villanueva of Trinity College Q.C., Raul Morato of U.E. Manila and Ter Amador of St. Joseph College with the aim of attaining academic excellence through superior discipline to everyone, after a year the Mother chapter in U.E. disappeared as the P.C.Cr. chapter became the new Mother chapter. ARHO is the 3rd third brother group of Magic 5. DELTA SIGMA PHI was originally founded on the University of the East Manila campus by Atty. Miguel Viacrusis (Member of C.B.), a transferee from De La Salle Univ. on Aug. 7, 1968. They became known to P.C.Cr. on Aug. 7, 1977. The Deltans is the 4th brother group of Magic 5. The DELTA SIGMA FAMILY was born on Sept. 7, 1975 and was founded on University of the East Manila campus by Rolly King. It was then transferred to Philippine College of Criminology on Sept. 7, 1977 by SPO4 Willie Cuartero when the forces of DSF became weak at U.E. In the year 1979, the P.C.Cr. became the new Mother chapter. The Tres Bolas is the youngest brother of Magic 5. Between Oct. to Nov. 1977, the group was known as MAGIC 9 with group members known as the ff. CB, PLE, ARHO, DSP, DSF, LeySam, Samahang Bicolano, Sigma Iris group & Crima. They joined forces because of the struggle during the early 80’s. The latter became rival with CB, PLE, ARHO, DSP, DSF. After the internal feuding, all that were left were just five members to which it is known until today. They united the five inter-frat at Fort Santiago, Intramuros Manila as one through the consensus of the different leaders namely : Renato Torres (CB), Wilson Relox (PLE), Billy Perea (ARHO), Miguel Viacrusis (DSP) & Willie Cuartero (DSF) and different other leaders from each inter frats. It was then decided to use the name MAGIC 5 and they were bonded by common purposes; mission and vision, aspiration of frat life and inter frat relationship. The Philippine College of Criminology became known as the Mother chapter of all other existing chapter members of MAGIC 5. Since then, P.C.Cr. members grew to up to 50% of the school population until these days and were propogated onto different areas Nationwide. Crime Buster (1962)- Atty. ΑΦΑ Mu Lambda Chapter Beautillion #9 April 24, 2004
The Mu Lambda Foundation of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Presents The Beautillion Story The Brothers of the Mu Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. continue to make a difference in the lives of many in our community. As a fraternity, we have made a positive impact on our youth with our outstanding Go-To High School, Go-to-College Program and Project Alpha. In 1993, the Brothers of Mu Lambda extended that vision with the development of an educational, cultural, and social program for young men in the 12th grade. The Annual Beautillion program grew out of a desire to spotlight the achievements of young men as they graduated from high school pursuits. The program was conceived by Brother Rudolph Harris Ph. D. and his wife Dr. Janette Hoston Harris in 1991. The program was designed to identify, train, and honor a select group of college-bound young men via mentoring to prepare them for the challenges and responsibilities of manhood. The program became a reality in 1995. Under the presidency of Brother Vincent B. Orange, Sr., the program moved forward and accomplished it's mission. Ten high school seniors were accepted in the program based on their achievements in school and the community. Upon entering the program, these Beaux committed themselves to fulfill their individual responsibilities, render service to the community, and demonstrate leadership and cooperativeness. The Beautillion program has continued to expand and has become our chapter's flagship eleemosynary activity. Many of the young men have returned to continue the legacy of Alpha Phi Alpha as members of our beloved Fraternity. Each year, we produce a Souvenir Journal in conjunction with the program. We try to make the journal an impressive keepsake for both the beaux and the many family members and friends who support them. Mu Lambda publicly thanks each and every supporter and we look forward to your continued support for years to come. My Name is Adrian Vincent James and I am Proud to be the choreographer for Mu Lambda's Annual Beutillion Program Gala since its inception.

05/19/10 Representative Marcia L. Fudge (OH-11) is pleased to announce the House of Representatives passed the Honorable Stephanie Tubbs Jones College Fire Prevention Act. The late Congresswoman Stephanie Tubbs Jones introduced the same bill in each of the last four sessions of Congress. The bill directs the Secretary of Education to make competitive grants to colleges, fraternities, and sororities for up to half the cost of installing and modernizing fire prevention and sprinkler systems in student and fraternal housing, with dedicated funding for minority-serving institutions and fraternities/sororities. The bill has been co-sponsored by a bipartisan group of 47 lawmakers, endorsed by national fire prevention organizations and over 100 fraternities and sororities. A full list of sponsoring organizations is listed at the bottom of this release. Companion legislation has been introduced in the Senate by Ohio Sen. Sherrod Brown. In 2009, there have been six student deaths attributed to student housing fires across the country. In Ohio, there have been 13 deaths and 36 related campus incidents since 2000. When these fire prevention and sprinkler systems are present, the survival chances for students increase by 97 percent and property damage is lowered by 35 percent. Carol Dietz, Assistant Vice President of Facilities at John Carroll University, notes that These funds would be an important asset to our university. We are currently planning to implement these fire fighting technologies, which could cost up to $500,000 for each of our dorms. These grants could help us defray the costs of this investment in our students' safety. Rep. Fudge, a former National President of Delta Sigma Theta sorority, commented that I believe college students need to be as safe in campus housing as they are at home. Fraternities and sororities have long played a leading role in cultivating the physical, social, and intellectual well-being of our college students. We must ensure that these organizations have access to all the resources that they need to protect our sons and daughters in their formative years. Endorsing Organizations: American Fire Sprinkler Association, American Council on Education, Campus Firewatch, Congressional Fire Services Institute, International Association of Black Professional Fire Fighters, International Association of Fire Fighters, International Code Council, International Fire Marshals Association, Michael H. I NEED YOUR HELP & PRAYERS. NO, I AM NOT ASKING FOR MONEY. I'm asking for something much easier, please spread the word to vote for Pierre Richard Augustin on June 24, 2014 for Council of District 6 in Prince George's County", Maryland, USA. I am in harm's way in 1st line of Defense against Terrorists & Active Shooters in Protecting Federal Employees & Facilities such as the Custom and Border Patrol (CBP), US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), GSA Warehouse (GSA), Internal Revenue Services (IRS), United States Coast Guard HQ (USCG), Federal Protective Services Headquarters HQ (FPS), the Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in Virginia and Washington, D.C. I am a Father of a United States Army Soldier who is Proud to Serve The United States of America... "Always Forward" Worthy Mentioned #1 235 years ago, in 1779 my forefathers, who were taken from Africa during the slave trades but were FREE black men living in Haiti, willingly left their families and love's one to fight on the side of the United States War of Independence in Savannah, Georgia against the British. That was the first time in history an all blacks regiment had served in the French Army and fought side by side with the American Colonial Troops for the cause of Liberty that led to the creation of the United States of America. Together, my forefathers' all black regiments and the french troops were part of the largest foreign soldiers that fought on the battle fields on the side of the Americans against the British at the Siege of Savannah, Georgia of September 15th to October 20th 1779. At the height of the battle, my forefathers' all black regiments were assigned to rearguard the American and French troops positions. Although initially successful, the American and French Troops were driven back by the counterattack of the British Regular reserves commanded by Col John Maitland. My forefathers' all black regiments fought with bravery and were credited with saving American and French forces from destruction. Indeed, my forefathers' shed their blood for the cause of liberty and justice for all. Today, I stand on my forefathers' shoulders to proclaim and shed not my blood, but NEW and FRESH ideas to take Prince George's County, Maryland to a "Higher New Hope of Greatness" with two BOLD visions: Vision #1 1. #10YearsTaxFreeZones to attract $100 Billion to create 1,000,000 jobs in Prince George's County, learn more at http://www.paugustin.com/business Vision #2 2. Transforming Prince George's County Public Schools into Academic Excellence by 2018, learn more at http://www.paugustin.com/education The issues of my campaign are three folds: 1. I stand for making Prince George's County public schools stronger because the high school dropout rate that is above 20% is totally unacceptable. 2. I stand for clean air and safer streets for us, our children and grand children. 3. I stand for higher paying jobs because for every job created, we are losing 1.1 jobs from company leaving Prince George's County. I am running this campaign to win. Please forward this post to friends residing in the cities and zip codes below. If you reside in Prince George's County in the cities mentioned below, I am asking for your vote: 1. South Bowie - 20721 2. Mitchellville 3. Kettering 4. Largo 5. Upper Marlboro - 20772 & 20774 6. Capitol Heights 7. District Heights 8. Forestville [One last thing, most importantly, I want to find out... 1. What matters the most to you in District 6 of Prince George's County? 2. How best to serve and represent you? ...Because it matters to me that your voices and opinions are heard]. Once again, I am asking you to vote for Pierre Richard AUGUSTIN on June 24, 2014, Can I count on You? Please, Help Us Spread The Word... THANK YOU. http://youtu.be/78TED8YRAaw
