Intervalue ICO AMA with CryptoArnie | The Underdog 4.0 DAG Project Rivaling Hashgraph, IOTA & Seele
Website: http://www.inve.one/ Intervalue Telegram: https://t.me/joinchat/HFJWYxCcv_bhLzTrdfzmGQ CryptoArnie Telegram: https://t.me/CryptoArniePublic What is InterValue? The InterValue project focuses on the core technology of Blockchain infrastructure and platform level. The goal is to build the underlying infrastructure covering all fields at the ecological level, which conquers the key technical problems. Main Technological Innovation (1)In the communication layer of the underlying P2P network node: The original anonymous P2P communication network is realized by combining the existing Tor-based anonymous communication network, the Blockchain-based distributed VPN and the advantages of the Blockchain-based distributed content sharing network. The protocol of node anonymity access is designed, and the private encrypted communication protocol is realized. These two protocols greatly enhance the anonymity of nodes in the underlying communication network and ensure that the communication between nodes is hard to be traced and cracked. (2)At the underlying data structure Layer A new data structure with an enhanced directed acyclic graph (HashNet) is adopted, which greatly reduces the storage space required by the nodes and improves the efficiency and security of the underlying data storage. (3)At the consensus mechanism Layer We designed three different consensus mechanism: a HashNet based consensus mechanism, BA-VRF consensus mechanism, basic DAG consensus mechanism. A consensus mechanism based on HashNet to enhance the consensus of DAG and BA-VRF consensus mechanism for notary selection is presented. In project version 1.0, due to the fact that HashNet-based DAG consensus is more difficult to implement, we first implement a two-Layer consensus mechanism that combines DAG consensus with BA-VRF. These consensuses all support high transaction concurrency, fast transaction confirmation speed, and building eco-systems for different application scenarios. (4)At the Layer of anti-quantum attack New anti-quantum algorithms are adopted, which replaces the existing SHA series algorithm with the Keccak-512 hash algorithm, and replaces the ECDSA signature algorithm with an integer lattice-based NTRUsign signature algorithm. These algorithms reduce the threat which brings from the quantum computing development and gradual popularization of a quantum computer. (5)At the Layer of anonymous transaction Combined with the characteristics of cryptocurrency such as Monroe and ZCash, the zero-knowledge proof and ring signature are used to design transaction anonymity and privacy protection method with high effective cost ratio and excellent security to meet privacy requirements of different application scenarios. (6)At the Layer of smart contracts We adopt the Turing comprehensive contract with fair distribution mechanism and support the issuance of third-party assets, which can take place in the form of the public Blockchain, permission (private) Blockchain, consortium (hybrid) Blockchain to the actual application scenario. (7)At the Layer of cross-link communication and multi-chain fusion The use of relay chain technology to cross-chain communication and multi-chain fusion function module as a single layer overlay to achieve, not only can maintain the independence of cross-chain operation, but also reuse InterValue basis chain Various functions. (8)At the ecologically motivated Layer Various Token allocation tools and methods are used in combination and support for double-layer mining for miners' incentives. (9)At the industry application level The development of JSON-RPC industry common interfaces, such as circulation payment, data transmission, data search, and contract invocation, supports various applications at the upper level.

What is CRYPTOGRAPHIC NONCE? What does CRYPTOGRAPHIC NONCE mean? CRYPTOGRAPHIC NONCE meaning - CRYPTOGRAPHIC NONCE definition - CRYPTOGRAPHIC NONCE explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. SUBSCRIBE to our Google Earth flights channel - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6UuCPh7GrXznZi0Hz2YQnQ In cryptography, a nonce is an arbitrary number that may only be used once. It is similar in spirit to a nonce word, hence the name. It is often a random or pseudo-random number issued in an authentication protocol to ensure that old communications cannot be reused in replay attacks. They can also be useful as initialization vectors and in cryptographic hash function. A nonce is an arbitrary number used only once in a cryptographic communication, in the spirit of a nonce word. They are often random or pseudo-random numbers. Many nonces also include a timestamp to ensure exact timeliness, though this requires clock synchronization between organizations. The addition of a client nonce ("cnonce") helps to improve the security in some ways as implemented in digest access authentication. To ensure that a nonce is used only once, it should be time-variant (including a suitably fine-grained timestamp in its value), or generated with enough random bits to ensure a probabilistically insignificant chance of repeating a previously generated value. Some authors define pseudo-randomness (or unpredictability) as a requirement for a nonce. Authentication protocols may use nonces to ensure that old communications cannot be reused in replay attacks. For instance, nonces are used in HTTP digest access authentication to calculate an MD5 digest of the password. The nonces are different each time the 401 authentication challenge response code is presented, thus making replay attacks virtually impossible. The scenario of ordering products over the Internet can provide an example of the usefulness of nonces in replay attacks. An attacker could take the encrypted information and—without needing to decrypt—could continue to send a particular order to the supplier, thereby ordering products over and over again under the same name and purchase information. The nonce is used to give 'originality' to a given message so that if the company receives any other orders from the same person with the same nonce, it will discard those as invalid orders. A nonce may be used to ensure security for a stream cipher. Where the same key is used for more than one message and then a different nonce is used to ensure that the keystream is different for different messages encrypted with that key; often the message number is used. Secret nonce values are used by the Lamport signature scheme as a signer-side secret which can be selectively revealed for comparison to public hashes for signature creation and verification. Initialization vectors may be referred to as nonces, as they are typically random or pseudo-random. Nonces are used in proof-of-work systems to vary the input to a cryptographic hash function so as to obtain a hash for a certain input that fulfills certain arbitrary conditions. In doing so, it becomes far more difficult to create a "desirable" hash than to verify it, shifting the burden of work onto one side of a transaction or system. For example, proof of work, using hash functions, was considered as a means to combat email spam by forcing email senders to find a hash value for the email (which included a timestamp to prevent pre-computation of useful hashes for later use) that had an arbitrary number of leading zeroes, by hashing the same input with a large number of nonce values until a "desirable" hash was obtained. Similarly, the bitcoin block-chain hashing algorithm can be tuned to an arbitrary difficulty by changing the required minimum/maximum value of the hash so that the number of bitcoins awarded for new blocks does not increase linearly with increased network computation power as new users join. This is likewise achieved by forcing bitcoin miners to add nonce values to the value being hashed to change the hash algorithm output. Because cryptographic hash algorithms cannot easily be predicted based on their inputs, this makes the act of blockchain hashing and the possibility of being awarded bitcoins something of a lottery, where the first "miner" to find a nonce that delivers a desirable hash is awarded valuable bitcoins.

Andy Yen: Think your email's private? Think again
Sending an email message is like sending a postcard, says scientist Andy Yen in this thought-provoking talk: Anyone can read it. Yet encryption, the technology that protects the privacy of email communication, does exist. It's just that until now it has been difficult to install and a hassle to use. Showing a demo of an email program he designed with colleagues at CERN, Yen argues that encryption can be made simple to the point of becoming the default option, providing true email privacy to all. IOTA tutorial 1: What is IOTA and some terminology explained
If you like this video and want to support me, go this page for my donation crypto addresses: https://www.youtube.com/c/mobilefish/about Update: In this video i mentioned Curl and the vulnerability found in this algorithm. However it seems that this is NOT correct. Please read: https://blog.iota.org/official-iota-foundation-response-to-the-digital-currency-initiative-at-the-mit-media-lab-part-1-72434583a2 This is part 1 of the IOTA tutorial. In this video series different topics will be explained which will help you to understand IOTA. It is recommended to watch each video sequentially as I may refer to certain IOTA topics explained earlier. IOTA is not an acronym for Internet of Things, (IoT) but it just mean something very small. David Sønstebø, Sergey Ivancheglo, Dominik Schiener and Serguei Popov founded IOTA in 2015. IOTA Foundation main focus is Internet of Things and the Machine Economy but this technology is well suited for payments between humans as well. The IOTA white paper can be found at: https://iota.org/IOTA_Whitepaper.pdf All IOTA's which will ever exist have already been created.  The total IOTA supply is: 2,779,530,283,277,761 IOTAs IOTA features - Scalability The network becomes stronger when the number of transactions increases. IOTA can achieve high transaction throughput. - Decentralisation IOTA has no miners. Every transaction maker is also a transaction validator which means every transaction maker actively participates in the consensus. - No transaction fees IOTA has no transaction fees which means IOTA can be used for micropayments. - Quantum computing protection Quantum computers will be able to crack current data encryption methods much faster than current classical computers. IOTA uses the Winternitz One-Time Signature Scheme which is a quantum-resistant algorithm. See: https://eprint.iacr.org/2011/191.pdf IOTA is the 3rd generation public permissionless distributed ledger, based on a Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG). IOTA called this DAG the tangle. The tangle is NOT the same as the Blockchain. A tangle is a data structure based on Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG). Each transaction always validates 2 previous non validated transactions. Directed means the graph is pointing to one direction. Tips are the unconfirmed transactions in the tangle graph. Height is the length of the longest oriented path to the genesis. Depth is the length of the longest reverse-oriented path to some tip. Making a transaction is a 3 step process: - Signing: Your node (computer / mobile) creates a transaction and sign it with your private key. - Tip Selection: Your node chooses two other unconfirmed transactions (tips) using the Random Walk Monte Carlo (RWMC) algorithm. - Proof of Work: Your node checks if the two transactions are not conflicting. Next, the node must do some Proof of Work (PoW) by solving a cryptographic puzzle (hashcash). Hashcash works by repeatedly hashing the same data with a tiny variation until a hash is found with a certain number of leading zero bits. This PoW is to prevent spam and Sybil attacks. The goal of the Random Walk Monte Carlo algorithm is to generate fair samples from some difficult distribution. The Random Walk Monte Carlo (RWMC) algorithm is used in two ways: - To choose two other unconfirmed transactions (tips) when creating a transaction. - And to determine if a transaction is confirmed. To determine the confirmation level of your transaction we need the depth to start from and we execute the Random Walk Monte Carlo algorithm N times, the probability of your transaction being accepted is therefore M of N. M being the number of times you land on a tip that has a path to your transaction. If you execute RWMC 100 times, and 60 tips has a path to your transaction, than your transaction is 60% confirmed. It is up the the merchant to decide to accept the transaction and exchange goods. It is the same as Bitcoins where you want to wait for at least 6 blocks for high value transactions. Transactions with bigger depths takes longer to be validated. An IOTA Reference Implementation (IRI), wallet and libraries are available at: https://github.com/iotaledger To setup a full node you need to tether with neighbours by exchanging your ip address with theirs. Once you have sent a transaction from an address, you should never use this address again. A tangle can get branch off and back into the network. This is called partitioning. The Coordinator or ‘Coo’ for short, are several full nodes scattered across the world run by the IOTA Foundation. It creates zero value transactions called milestones which full nodes reference to. NANO (RaiBlocks) - Block Lattice Visualization
Ps: RaiBlocks is now called NANO NANO has one block chain for each account which is controlled by the account's private key and each block chain is replicated to all peers in the network, we call this arrangement a block lattice. Balances are transferred between block chains through send and receive blocks. Send blocks reduce the balance of an account and marks the delta as receivable by an account number. At a later time the receiving account creates a receive block which increases the balance of their account by the delta. For more information, see https://github.com/clemahieu/raiblocks/wiki/Block-lattice or read the RaiBlocks whitepaper https://raiblocks.net/media/RaiBlocks_Whitepaper__English.pdf NANO animations: Ledger pruning https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iCH2Z2qBkg0 Double spending and confirmation https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jFpuK3Sr6Tc Did you like the video? Slides: http://tuvalu.santafe.edu/~moore/sending_secrets.pdf Abstract: Cryptography has come a long way since invisible ink and decoder rings. Today we rely on the magic of prime numbers to keep our online transactions and records secure. I'll describe cryptosystems work, from Caesar to the Kama Sutra to modern e-commerce, and how a future quantum computer would break them. I'll then describe what kinds of cryptography might remain secure even after quantum computers are built. Nothing beyond high school math, I promise! Radix August AMA (Ask Me Anything)
Watch the Radix founder & CTO Dan Hughes along with CEO Piers Ridyard answer key community questions on the progress made so far by the Radix team as well as its future roadmap in this AMA video. Click the 'Show More' button below to skip to specific questions from the video: Q) Usually, engineering in this space involves making tradeoffs (like the scalability trilemma). What are the biggest downsides of the Radix approach? A) 0:35 Q) Do you think you will have enough time to integrate DEX, economic model, and atomic swaps before going live in Q1 2019? A) 5:10 Q) If RadixDLT is not going to sell tokens, then how are you going to monetize your years of hard work? A) 7:48 Q) Do you see any competitors to RadixDLT in terms of scalability (like Ethereum, Zilliqa, Constellation, Hedera Hashgraph, IOTA, Holochain, etc.) A) 11:00 Q) Are there any circumstances under which the economics system would generate XRD and transact directly on the DEX, bypassing holders and noderunners? A) 19:09 Q) What is your marketing strategy? How do you plan to attract more developers, investors, big companies? A) 21:40 Q)Who is your biggest competitor and how are you going to outperform them? A) 27:34 Q) How confident is the core coding team that all obstacles were already thought of and eliminated in the current code? A) 31:58 Q) Will the price stabilizing mechanism kick-off on day one? Can we see big price swings like on your T-shirts? A) 38:25 Q) When you say "the system itself can step in and take the other side of the trade", what exactly does that mean? A) 39:34 Q) Have you thought about acquiring Radix.com? A) 40:30 Q) Are you planning to open source Vamos database? A) 41:40 Q) When can we run a Node on the Public Testnet? A) 42:31 Q) You are going to implement atomic swaps on your DEX. Can you shed some light on how it will work? A) 43:15 Q) How can you be so sure that the initial price will be $1 per token? And how many tokens do you expect to be sold at that price? By whom? A) 44:35 Q) Do more people than Dan already work on the protocol core? A) 48:05 Q) How is finality achieved in tempo? A) 51:44 Q) Can you shed some light on the economic mechanism to get short-term price stability? A) 56:48 Q) How many team members do you have right now? Do you have an economist working on your economic model? A) 57:01 Q) Are you going to support any 3rd party dapps with investment or highlight them to gain some extra boost? A) 57:35 Q) How do you foresee the mass adoption of radix, in what areas and how will you market it? A) 1:01:16 Q) Dan said with the latest fixes to the core, he made the issuance of tokens easier. What does that mean exactly? A) 1:09:30 Q) A lot of things seem to have changed this year. What parts of the previous whitepapers are not correct anymore? A: 1:13:08 Q) What are the steps to take for a merchant to accept Radix at a physical point-of-sale? A: 1:13:26 Q) What happens to nodes and node IDs caught cheating? A) 1:14:31 Q) Did you consider launching Radix w/o the economic adjustment algorithms? The „stability idea“goes against the austrian school of economics widely loved in crypto A) 1:14:46 Q) Have you ever convinced a Bitcoin maximalist that Tempo is superior to Blockchain? How did you do it? A) 1:16:00 Q) How does Dan's coding cave look like? Do you feed him well when he's working there? A) 1:17:10 Q) Will there be a way to add some trusted nodes to my peer list in case I believe all neighbor nodes are trying to isolate and attack me? A) 1:17:26 Q) How its possible to reach low finality time, when nodes gossip new events to closest neighbors? In neighborhood only border nodes can actually inform new nodes. A) 1:17:40 Q) How nodes look for neighbors? Is is simple subtraction of 2 IDs or u use something like Hamming distance? Subtraction will organise nodes in line rather p2p net. A) 1:18:50 Q) Everyone is changing to ERC-20 token to join ethereum, What can Radix do to attract token projects, is a token project something Radix wants to attract or is Radix focusing on other areas? A) 1:19:30 Q) How will the initial distribution of Radix be handled and will the early investors receive a fair reward per BTC invested compared to new BTC investors Q1? A) 1:20:39 Q) When will developers be able to start testing arbitrary smart contracts for their protocols/dApps on the Radix testnet network? A: 1:23:54 Q) Will the client at launch include chat-rooms and marketplace like the old eMunie days? A) 1:25:46

How quantum physics can make encryption stronger | Vikram Sharma
As quantum computing matures, it's going to bring unimaginable increases in computational power along with it -- and the systems we use to protect our data (and our democratic processes) will become even more vulnerable. But there's still time to plan against the impending data apocalypse, says encryption expert Vikram Sharma. Learn more about how he's fighting quantum with quantum: designing security devices and programs that use the power of quantum physics to defend against the most sophisticated attacks. Crusher of the Month: Polymath (POLY) - Securities Token Blockchain Platform
Polymath is an automated and scalable platform that helps companies issue securities on the blockchain using a standardized token protocol, ST-20. Through the Polymath Platform, previously illiquid assets such as private company shares, real estate, bonds, and collectibles, can now be tokenized, providing broader access and liquidity to investors and issuers. Full report by Crush Crypto: https://crushcrypto.com/poly-crusher-may-18/ PDF of the presentation: https://crushcrypto.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/CrushCrypto-Crusher-of-the-Month-May-2018-Polymath-POLY.pdf Polymath official website: https://polymath.network/ Polymath whitepaper: https://polymath.network/whitepaper.html Download the free ICO Guide which contains 6 simple steps for analyzing any ICOs to find the winning projects: https://crushcrypto.com/youtube/ Note: This is not a paid review. We do not offer promotional or advertising services. Our content is based on our own research, analysis and personal opinion. _______________________________________ In our Crusher of the Month series we will select a coin or token each month that we have high conviction in. Here are some reasons why we selected Polymath (ticker: POLY) for our May 2018 Crusher of the Month: #1: Security Token is the Next Mega Trend in Tokenization with a Market Size in the Trillions It is widely considered that security tokens will fuel the next wave for the growth of cryptocurrency. Qualified investors can theoretically purchase fractional ownership of any assets. Security tokens are promising because it offers a few key advantages compared to traditional equity: - 24/7 access. Right now, it is difficult for investors in one country to trade stocks in another country. In the future, anyone can trade security tokens anywhere, anytime. - Programmable equity that allows restriction of who can trade the tokens. - Elimination of middlemen (clearing house, stock broker, audit system, etc.). However, since security tokens are investment security, there are strict regulations surrounding the creation and purchase of such tokens. This is where Polymath comes in. The project makes launching security tokens easy and efficient. #2: Polymath has a First Mover Advantage Polymath has by far the most advanced development in the security token space. It currently has over 40,000 investors and 10,000 issuers. The project partners with tZero, the security token exchange to be established by Overstock, which provides a source of liquidity for tokens launched on the Polymath platform. Other tidbits relating to the progress of Polymath: - Testnet 2.0 is live – you can try it at https://polymath-issuer.netlify.com/ - In negotiation to buy a stake in a real stock exchange - Owns tokens.com and securitytokens.com _______________________________________ Disclaimer The information in this video is for educational purposes only and is not investment advice. The Grand Narrative of the History of Computing - Professor Doron Swade
A discussion of the core concepts of modern computing and their basis in history. Dr Doron Swade offers a new analysis of the history of computing, suggesting that instead of a linear progression from one phase to the next, it is better understood as a series of separate computational functions diverging and converging. Dr Swade goes beyond the analysis of the history of computing as moving from the Mechanical to the Electromechanical and then to the Electronic phase. Instead he argues that the history of computing is better understood as the diverging and merging of a series of streams which represent very separate computational functions or paradigms: Calculation, Automatic Computation, Information Management, Communication and the Electronic Information Age. This is the 2013 Gresham-BSHM lecture, tracing the origins of the core concepts of modern computing. The downloadable versions of the lecture are available from the Gresham College website: http://www.gresham.ac.uk/lectures-and-events/the-grand-narrative-of-the-history-of-computing Gresham College has been giving free public lectures since 1597. Undervalued Cryptocurrencies: IoT Chain (ITC) the Operating System for IoT Devices
Undervalued Cryptocurrencies: IoT Chain (ITC) the Operating System for IoT Devices ITC is a safe light operating system for IOT based on blockchain that could be considered a Chinese 'IOTA' that tries to solve some uncertainty that is present when it comes to the safety and the integrity in the DAG solution used in IOTA. Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) is a type of verification where the devices on the network randomly verify each other’s transactions and build consensus through the web of connections between transactions. ITC is designed to solve the severe safety problems of present IoT by applying a combination of encryption of cryptography, computing technology and distributed architecture without data center. IOT chain will be used for variety of solutions and include: - machine to machine payment between iot devices - sharing and trading in the economy - anything from payments to assets - safe access to the assets stored on the cloud Use case scenario - The IOT OS will be integrated into physical equiment - they will be connected to the blockchain via the blockchain authentication technology - everything will be stored on the blockchain network - all of the transactions will be recorded and stored - all of the data on the blockchain will be viewable on the devices via apps Links: Website: https://iotchain.io/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/IoT_Chain Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/IoTChain/ Blog: https://medium.com/@IoT_Chain Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/itcofficial/ Follow me on social media: Telegram: https://t.me/crypto0coins Twitter: https://twitter.com/Crypto0Coins Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/crypt0coins/ Steemit: https://steemit.com/@dmae You can also use my referrals: Coss referral: https://sso.coss.io/api/invite/XJZ89O9XRU Binance referral: https://www.binance.com/?ref=10136785 Coinbase referral: https://www.coinbase.com/join/580f4ae28bfa31697d9a8f7c Or donate: ETH and ERC20: 0x43d42eeF0952629EA5B384B6283eBd608c02A709 BTC: 36hqDXqFxWBjb5D4U9XxKFLCQXHHwjtQZX LTC: LawVWy6BPAiv8BC7QwqmzroLE5QTP3npzK ETC: 0x19f7359510b1ee73a4552b2b2652fe0b32e35a0a NEO: AHwKiZrUbdZX5pLkixqUHvpKE1js5t8mZ8 DASH: Xrya3sVGzhARZuY6g9zHg3FLB5rCtLMtEy ZEC: t1VG9gvMAhhVMHSQbwmARwUZCxYTBxWEP2a IOTA: 9WWZDDGYS9PVKSUODNFLRJXHWFVXKZICDWBIRJKIEWUFKLD Love you but keep in mind that this is not a financial advice!

The Trinity Ethereum Client - A platform for blockchain applications | EthDevCon4
BBT Carter in Prague for EthDevCon4 choose the Prism room at the Prague Centre Conference center to hear Piper Merriam, Lead Architect, discuss Trinity. After about 4 minutes in, Piper read a prepared and captivating piece on his life. I was moved by the story that Piper shared as I have had family members too who suffer in the ways that Piper describe. A video capture of this does not project the presence Piper had in the room with sharing this with us. I thank him for trusting in all of us in the room to hear his story. Key parts of his speech really ring out. Satoshi's Vision did show a world without walls. The ability to transact with security and trust embodied in the very actions of the protocol are paramount. Foundations that will last generations will be built on these chains. SF Bitcoin Devs Seminar: Key Tree Signatures
Pieter Wuille, Bitcoin Core Developer and Blockstream Co-Founder, spoke about Key Tree Signatures. Bitcoin supports multisig transaction outputs, which require more than a single signature to unlock. These can be used for low-trust escrow, two-factor security (signatures by two devices) and funds with shared control. However, Bitcoin's multisig support is based on OP_CHECKMULTISIG internally, which has significant limitations. For one, it only supports up to 15 keys, and has a high verification cost to the network. If we restrict the problem to 1-of-N multisig (as opposed to K-of-N), all we need is to be able to cheaply prove that a particular given key is part of a set that is known in advance, plus verify a signature by that key. For the first part, we could use a Merkle tree, if we could implement Merkle branch verification inside script. This is not possible in Bitcoin because it needs OP_CAT which was disabled years ago. In Elements Alpha, a first demo sidechain by Blockstream, this opcode was reenabled, making cheap 1-of-N possible. Alpha has another change, namely using Schnorr signatures rather than ECDSA signatures. Schnorr signatures support native K-of-K multisig, with the same efficiency as a single 1-of-1 key. We can combine these two changes to support K-of-N: build a Merkle tree where every leaf is a Schnorr combination of a set of K of the N keys. This results in signatures that are at worst half the size as OP_CHECKMULTISIG ones, and are far faster to verify, We can even go further, and introduce a small language for describing sets of permissible keys for signing, as the approach above is not limited to just K-of-N. REALITY LOST Bonus scene 2. Dag Kaszlikowski kills Schrodinger's cat.
SYNOPSIS At the beginning of the 20th Century, a major shift took place in science. Scientists started doing experiments with unprecedented precision -- fiddling with single particles, atoms, and electrons. And they got bewildered. Small objects seemed to have sort of fuzzy properties. What's more, the very act of observing them, of measuring them, seemed to bring them to life, excavate them from a vague domain. The equations of quantum mechanics were beautiful. They generated astonishingly correct answers for mind-boggling questions about the exotic micro world. But there was a price to pay. Objective reality had to go. Was it regained? --------------------------------------------- SCIENTISTS ON SCREEN Dagomir Kaszlikowski Physicist, theorist, Centre for Quantum Technologies, National University of Singapore Artur Ekert Physicist, theorist, director of Centre for Quantum Technologies, National University of Singapore; Professor of Quantum Physics, Mathematical Institute, University of Oxford Valerio Scarani Physicist, theorist, Centre for Quantum Technologies, National University of Singapore Christian Kurtsiefer Physicist, experimentalist, Centre for Quantum Technologies, National University of Singapore Charles Bennett Physicist, information theorist and IBM Fellow at IBM Research. Crusher of the Month: Eximchain (EXC) - Enterprise Public Blockchain Network for the Supply Chain
Founded in 2015 at MIT, Eximchain (short for Export Import on Blockchain) aims to bring visibility to global supply chain finance through smart contracts. The project focuses on helping small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that are struggling to obtain financing due to an inability to prove legitimacy. The Eximchain ecosystem will enable SMEs to gain access to affordable capital sources by giving financiers visibility into the supply chain cash flow. Full report by Crush Crypto: https://crushcrypto.com/eximchain-crusher-june-18/ PDF of the presentation: https://crushcrypto.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/CrushCrypto-Crusher-of-the-Month-June-2018-Eximchain-EXC.pdf Eximchain official website: https://www.eximchain.com/ Eximchain whitepaper and deck: https://www.eximchain.com/documents Download the free ICO Guide which contains 6 simple steps for analyzing any ICOs to find the winning projects: https://crushcrypto.com/youtube/ Note: This is not a paid review. We do not offer promotional or advertising services. Our content is based on our own research, analysis and personal opinion. _______________________________________ In our Crusher of the Month series we will select a coin or token each month that we have high conviction in. Here are some reasons why we selected Eximchain (ticker: EXC) for our June 2018 Crusher of the Month: #1: Low Market Awareness After raising $20 million in early 2018 from top tier investors such as Hashed, FBG, Kenetic, GBIC, among others, Eximchain had an airdrop campaign where they gave out $5 million worth of tokens (at the ICO price, these tokens are now worth over $11 million) and EXC tokens were released on May 21, 2018. The cryptocurrency market, especially for altcoins, has been soft since the token was listed. In addition, EXC tokens are currently only listed on the decentralized exchange IDEX, which is another reason why they are currently trading at a discount, in our opinion. All of these factors have caused the token to trade below the valuation that we believe they deserve. With the strong supporters backing the project, we believe EXC tokens should be able to be listed on a number of decent exchanges in the near future, which should support the price. #2: Solid Technical and Business Development The team has been making solid progress on both the technical and business development fronts. Technical Development The mainnet is on track to launch in 2018 Q3. The team has already gone through 8 rounds of large-scale stress testing with all of the results published on GitHub. The testnet currently has 250 nodes (estimated to be around the same size as the mainnet) running the protocol across 14 regions. Eximchain will offer users the ability to manage globally distributed blockchain, API, and key management infrastructures to support their applications. Business Development The team is building their first proof-of-concept with their partner, YOOsourcing, which has over 30,000 registered users on its mobile app and is providing white-labeled SaaS solutions for two corporate clients. The two companies have been co-developing the inspection application on blockchain over the past few months. Using this application, suppliers can better monitor requests for quotations, promote new products, and build up their reputations to garner future businesses leads. We believe more promising partnerships are incoming. Eximchain’s go-to-market strategy is to first build out a proof-of-concept with its partners, and later on offer software development kits to enable smaller-sized companies and developers to build customized solutions that solve specific sourcing, supply chain finance, and logistics management issues. Basically, Eximchain is building an app store for the global supply chain. The versatility of the platform is one of the reasons why we believe the project will be a success in the long run. _______________________________________ Disclaimer The information in this video is for educational purposes only and is not investment advice. ICO Review: Essentia (ESS) - Providing Secure Ease of Use on Blockchain
Essentia is aiming to provide greater ease of use to the blockchain community, including individuals and businesses. Learn more: https://crushcrypto.com/essentia-ico-review/ Project website: https://essentia.one/whitepaper_draft.pdf White paper: https://essentia.one/whitepaper_draft.pdf Download the PDF version of the presentation: https://crushcrypto.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/CrushCrypto-ICO-Review-Essentia-ESS.pdf Download the free ICO Guide which contains 6 simple steps for analyzing any ICOs to find the winning projects: https://crushcrypto.com/youtube/ Note: This is not a paid review. We do not offer promotional or advertising services. Our content is based on our own research, analysis and personal opinion. _______________________________________ What does the company/project do? Essentia is aiming to provide greater ease of use to the blockchain community, including individuals and businesses. There are two primary components of the Essentia framework; Essences and Synergies. Essences are the platform function where entities own all of their personal information/data, and links them across multiple platforms. Users in this case will use a Seed (a sort of master key) that gives them full access and control over their information, as well as unique, identity-tied access to modular dApps supported by the Essentia platform. Synergies are the links between different platforms, resources, and modules, allowing for the intended interoperability. Developers will also be able to build on Synergies, which users can pay to use. Combined, the two components will make the complete framework of the Essentia platform. This will be supported by the resources of other computers, which will have to stake 100,000 ESS in order to set up a network node. _______________________________________ What are the tokens used for and how can token holders make money? - Used to pay for additional storage, processing power, etc, and would be a separate cost from the network minimum fee. On top of these uses, it will be used in marketplaces with services/goods offered by third parties. - Rewards for users to be active, and good actors with tokens going to the most active members on the platform. - Used for staking to create a masternode. 100,000 ESS tokens will be required, and will be used as collateral to punish any misbehaviour from the node. The node runners will also earn ESS periodically for their dedicated resources. On masternodes, the block reward rate will be every 10 second, and the total amount being rewarded will be 15% (255 million ESS) of the total supply over the next 7 years, plus any fees for their node used. - Used for the only token that’s needed for dApps that are integrated on the Essentia platform. For example, instead of using 5 different tokens for 5 different dApps, users can use only ESS tokens to transact across all the dApps so they don’t need to manage all the different tokens. _______________________________________ Opportunities - The project has a product that is live on the Ethereum mainnet with various features that require strong technical competency to develop. For example, unlike most of other wallets that are compatible with only Ethereum-based coins, the wallet on Essentia is compatible with other major coins such as Bitcoin, Neo, Liteoin, and Bitcoin Cash. - For applications that are built on Essentia, they can be used on blockchains as well. This mitigates the risk that another blockchain may become winner in the long run, rendering Ethereum-based dApps obsolete. - The team is business-minded and has already secured partnerships with government entities as well as corporations from the centralized and decentralized space. - Essentia solves a big problem about dApps where users need a different token for each dApp. In the future, users can hold only one token to be used on the dApps that are integrated with Essentia. _______________________________________ Concerns - A component of Essentia is on the ID service, for which there are a lot of competing projects such as uPort, Civic, Selfkey, Traceto, Bridge Protocol, Valid Global, and others. However, it is worth to note that Essentia’s scope is far greater than just an ID service. - Certain key team members are also working at Mobilife+ at the same time. We are unsure how they will allocate their time between the two ventures. _______________________________________ Disclaimer The information in this video is for educational purposes only and is not investment advice.
