MILIND & CABRAL 'IN', FRANCIS & MADKAIKAR 'OUT'
Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar dropped two ailing Cabinet Ministers Francis D’Souza and Pandurang Madkaikar and brought former Power Minister Milind Naik and GTDC Chairman Nilesh Cabral into his Cabinet on Monday. Parrikar will however not be replaced, as BJP National President Amit Shah on Sunday announced that Parrikar will continue to be the Chief Minister of Goa.
SANGUEM MLA RESIGNS AS CHAIRMAN OF GOA FOREST DEVELOP0MENT
VO: Sanguem independent MLA Prasad Gaonkar on Tuesday resigned as the chairman of Goa forest development corporation claiming that he is not getting the needed support from the governmet. Gaonkar however said that he will continue his support to government and work for the betterment of the people of his constituency.

VO: Panchayat minister Mauvin Godinho claimed that it was a joke of sorts that for the first time in the history of the country, a political party was staking claim to form government without having required numbers. Godinho said that congress should first prove their numbers and then stake claim to form government.
MAPUSA MUNICIPAL COUNCIL DISAPPOINTED OVER REMOVAL OF FRANCIS D'SOUZA
VO: several mapusa municipal council members expressed their shock and disappointment in the state government over the decision to replace their MLA Francis D'souza without prior notice. In a special meeting held on tuesday, council members also expressed their concern over the loss of their representative from Bardez who used to be available to them to address their grievances.
CABINET MINISTERS TO MEET EVERY WEDNESDAY
VO: State Cabinet Ministers including BJP ministers, Goa Forward Party, MGP and Independents held up a united front at a review meeting at the Secretariat on Thursday. The ministers met to discuss implementation of the proposals in the state budget. This is the first time that the ministers have met together since the cabinet meeting chaired by the Chief Minister in July. The ministers have decided to meet every wednesday to hold a review of the implementation of the assurances given by the Chief Minister in the budget.
MAHILA CONGRESS AT GOA UNIVERSITY
VO: Goa Pradesh Mahila Congress members along with students from Kare Law College and V.M. Salgaonkar college of law visited the Goa University at Bambolim to meet the Vice Chancellor regarding the injustice done to students who are not allowed to answer their exams because of low attendance while students with lesser attendance were allowed to sit for the same.
VASCO FISH VENDORS AGITATION
VO: Fish vendors form Vasco raised strong objections over illegal sale of fish by vendors on the roadside. The aggrieved fish sellers took a morcha to the Mormugao Municipal Council demanding action be taken against the same.
BICHOLIM MINING DEPENDENTS MEET SUDIN DHAVALIKAR
VO: Delegation of mining dependents form Bicholim and its surrounding met PWD Minister Sudin Dhavalikar at his office in the Secretariat on Friday. They raised their fear that mine owners might remove them from job if mining industry is not started. However, Dhavalikar said that the state has requested the Central government to clear the mining issue as soon as possible and good news is expected from the Centre by 14th October.
GIRISH SAYS NO MORE SYMPATHY FOR CM
VO: GPCC President Girish Chodankar on Thursday stated that Congress will not sympathise with the ailing Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar anymore. He said that the BJP ministers keep making claims of Parrikars good health, if he is really fit to run the state then he should be fit enough to face the Congress party in Goa. He also declared that the party will now come out aggressively against the BJP led government and expose the Chief Ministers and his corrupt ministers.
WOMAN DEAD IN TRAGIC ACCIDENT AT DABOLIM
VO: In a tragic accident at Dabolim, 32 year old Pratiksh Mishra was crushed under the wheels of a speeding truck on Tuesday afternoon. According to sources, Pratiksha met with the fatal accident when she was approaching the main highway from her residence at Alto Dabolim. The truck driver was later apprehended and police are conducting further investigation.
