This triple chocolate mousse cake is rich, chocolaty and decadent, hardly not to fall in love with it from the first bite. To print the recipe check the full recipe on my blog: http://www.homecookingadventure.com/recipes/no-bake-triple-chocolate-mousse-cake Ingredients Makes about 12 servings Oreo Crust 7 oz (200g) oreo cookies 4 tbsp (60g) butter, melted Dark Chocolate Mousse 5 oz (150g) semi-sweet chocolate 1/2 cup (120g) whipping cream 2/3 cup (160g) whipping cream (35% fat), chilled 1 tsp (4g) gelatin powder 1 tbsp +1 tsp (20ml) cold water Milk Chocolate Mousse 5 oz (150g) milk chocolate 1/2 cup (120g) whipping cream 2/3 cup (160g) whipping cream (35% fat), chilled 1 tsp (4g) gelatin powder 1 tbsp +1 tsp (20ml) cold water White Chocolate Mousse 5 oz (150g) white chocolate 1/2 cup (120g) whipping cream 2/3 cup (160g) whipping cream (35% fat), chilled 1 tsp (4g) gelatin powder 1 tbsp +1 tsp (20ml) cold water For decorating (optional) Cocoa powder Fresh berries 1. Prepare the crust. Place the oreo cookies into the bowl of a food processor and crush until crumbs form. Add melted butter and process until evenly moistened. 2. Press the mixture into the bottom of a greased 8 inch (20 cm) springform pan using the back of a spoon. Refrigerate until the first layer of mousse is prepared. 3. Prepare dark chocolate mousse. In a heat proof bowl add the semi-sweet chocolate and 1/2 cup (120g) whipping cream. Place the bowl over a saucepan with simmering water, over low heat until all the chocolate is melted. Meanwhile dissolve gelatin in cold water and let it swell for about 5 to 10 minutes. Place the gelatin over low heat just until the gelatin dissolves and pour it over the melted chocolate mixture. Let the chocolate mixture cool completely at room temperature. 4. Whip the remaining 2/3 cup (160g) cold whipping cream until stiff peaks form. Add melted chocolate mixture and mix until well combined. 5. Pour the chocolate mousse over the crust and refrigerate for about 15-20 minutes to set slightly, until you prepare the next layer of chocolate mousse. 6. Repeat the same steps for preparing the milk and white chocolate mousse layers. 7. Refrigerate the cake for 4 hours or overnight to set. 8. Run a knife around the edges of the cake to remove the sides of the pan. 9. Before serving dust the top of the cake with cocoa powder and decorate with fresh berries if desired. Enjoy! Get the recipe: http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/food-network-kitchen/boston-cream-pie-cheesecake-3797239 Boston Cream Pie Cheesecake Recipe courtesy of Food Network Kitchen Total: 5 hr 55 min Active: 45 min Yield: 10 to 12 servings Level: Easy Ingredients Cheesecake Layer: Nonstick cooking spray One 1/4-ounce packet unflavored powdered gelatin Two 8-ounce packages cream cheese, at room temperature 1 cup confectioners' sugar 1/2 cup sour cream Juice of 1/2 lemon 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract Kosher salt Cake: 1/2 stick (4 tablespoons) unsalted butter, at room temperature, plus more for greasing 1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour, spooned and leveled, plus more for dusting 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon fine salt 1 cups granulated sugar 1/4 cup vegetable oil 3 large eggs, at room temperature 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract 1/2 cup milk Chocolate Ganache: 4 ounces semisweet chocolate, finely chopped 1/3 cup heavy cream 1 tablespoon unsalted butter Directions Make the cheesecake: Line a 9-inch springform pan with parchment and spray with nonstick cooking spray. Combine the gelatin with 2 tablespoons water in a small microwave-safe bowl and set aside to soften, about 5 minutes. Beat the cream cheese on medium-high speed in the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment (or in a large bowl if using a hand mixer) until completely smooth, about 1 minute. Scrape down the sides of the bowl. Add the confectioners' sugar, sour cream, lemon juice, vanilla and a pinch of kosher salt, and beat on medium-high speed until incorporated and smooth, about 1 minute. Microwave the gelatin until melted, stirring as needed, about 30 seconds. Add the gelatin to the cream cheese mixture and beat on medium-high speed to combine, about 30 seconds. Pour the cream cheese-gelatin mixture into the springform pan and refrigerate until set, about 2 hours. Meanwhile, make the cake: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Butter the bottoms and sides of a 9-inch cake pan; dust with flour and tap out the excess. Whisk together the flour, baking powder and fine salt in a medium bowl. Beat the butter, granulated sugar and oil in a large bowl with an electric mixer on medium-high speed until light in color and fluffy, about 5 minutes. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, and then the vanilla, until combined. Reduce the mixer speed to low and alternate adding in the flour mixture and the milk, adding the flour in three additions and the milk in two, starting and ending with the flour. Mix just until smooth. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake until golden on top and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, 35 to 40 minutes. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, and then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely, about 2 hours. To assemble: Evenly cut the cake in half horizontally with a serrated knife so you have two cakes that are the same height. Remove the sides of the springform pan. Place the bottom layer cake upside down on top of the cheesecake and flip it over so that the cheesecake is now on top of the cake. Remove the parchment paper from the top of the cheesecake and place onto a cake plate or cake stand. Top with the second cake layer and place in the fridge while you make your ganache. Make the ganache: Place the chocolate in a medium bowl. Bring the heavy cream and butter to a boil in a small saucepan over medium heat. Pour over the chocolate and let it stand for 5 minutes. Stir until completely melted and smooth. Remove the cake from the fridge and pour the ganache over the top of the cake, smoothing out the top with a small offset spatula and letting it drip over the sides. When I was 11 years old I entered Martha Dixons Copper Kettle Junior Cooks contest on a local television station in Lansing, Michigan. I was one of the four winners and appeared on LIVE television (back then thats all they had) with my recipe for Philadelphia Cream Cheese Clover Leafs. Now 50 years later, and still cooking with Philly, I have made an updated version that will melt in your mouth, or as my mentor Martha Dixon would say, Its Simply Delicious! So grab your Philly Cream Cheese and heres what you will need to do to make my Cream Cheese Clover Leafs- ALL BEEFED UP! Prep Time: 15 minutes Cook time: 30 minutes Total time: 45 minutes Servings 2 or 4 •2 fresh, large, firm Bell Peppers •About a one and a half pound Rib Eye Steak about an inch thick •2 Tablespoons each Worcestershire Sauce and Liquid Smoke •1 T. liquid hot sauce (I use Tapatio) •1 T. butter melted with 1 T. olive oil •1 cup chopped Portabella Mushrooms •¼ cup finely sliced green onions •¼ cup finely minced parsley ( I prepare Italian) •8 ounces Philadelphia Cream Cheese •4 ounces crumbled bleu cheese •Kosher Salt and Black Peppercorns to desired flavor •2 to 4 strips bacon Optional Steps 1.In a large cooking pot boil enough water to blanch peppers. Place the peppers in the boiled water for 10 to 15 minutes, remove water and let peppers steam in covered pot. 2.Place Rib Eye steak in baking dish and pour the Worcestershire, Liquid Smoke and Hot sauces together and cover both sides of steak with the mixed sauces. Grind a desired amount of mixed peppercorns on both sides of steak and let set. 3.Add the mushrooms, green onions and parsley to the melted butter and olive oil add pinch or two of Kosher salt to taste and sauté for 2 to 3 minutes. 4.In a mixing bowl combine the cream cheese with the bleu cheese and blend with mixer until smooth. With a spatula, fold the cooked mushroom, onion, parsley mixture into the cheeses. 5.Take a ½ inch slice from the BOTTOM of the peppers; remove membrane and seeds being careful to not tear flesh. Pat dry cavity with paper towel. 6.Using a cutting board and sharp knife, slice Rib Eye steak at angle at ¼ to ½ inch intervals and put slices back into marinade to cover both sides of the slices. Take each strip and push firmly into each curved hollow of the pepper cavity, and let about ½ inch hang over top edge. Continue with the slices until the interior cavity is covered with steak. 7.Now fill the center of the steak lined pepper with the cream cheese and vegetable mixture. Fold the tops of the steak slices inward to cover the filling; place the sliced pepper bottom cap on top. NOTE: At this point you may cover filling and pepper with 2 strips of bacon. Place the filled peppers in a baking dish and place in pre-heated 375 degree oven for 30 minutes. 8.To serve slice each pepper in half-vertically in center- making two large slices. Depending on appetites, you can use one or two slices per serving.
