In astrophysics and physical cosmology, Olbers' paradox, named after the German astronomer Heinrich Wilhelm Olbers (1758–1840), also known as the "dark night sky paradox", is the argument that the darkness of the night sky conflicts with the assumption of an infinite and eternal static universe. The darkness of the night sky is one of the pieces of evidence for a dynamic universe, such as the Big Bang model. In the hypothetical case that the universe is static, homogeneous at a large scale, and populated by an infinite number of stars, then any line of sight from Earth must end at the (very bright) surface of a star and hence the night sky should be completely illuminated and very bright. This contradicts the observed darkness and non-uniformity of the night. The redshift hypothesised in the Big Bang model would by itself explain the darkness of the night sky even if the universe were infinitely old. In the Steady state theory the universe is infinitely old and uniform in time as well as space. There is no Big Bang in this model, but there are stars and quasars at arbitrarily great distances. The expansion of the universe causes the light from these distant stars and quasars to redshift, so that the total light flux from the sky remains finite. Thus the observed radiation density (the sky brightness of extragalactic background light) can be independent of finiteness of the universe. Mathematically, the total electromagnetic energy density (radiation energy density) in thermodynamic equilibrium from Planck's law. E.g. for temperature 2.7 K it is 40 fJ/m3 ... 4.5×10−31 kg/m3 and for visible temperature 6000 K we get 1 J/m3 ... 1.1×10−17 kg/m3. But the total radiation emitted by a star (or other cosmic object) is at most equal to the total nuclear binding energy of isotopes in the star. For the density of the observable universe of about 4.6×10−28 kg/m3 and given the known abundance of the chemical elements, the corresponding maximal radiation energy density of 9.2×10−31 kg/m3, i.e. temperature 3.2 K (matching the value observed for the optical radiation temperature by Arthur Eddington). This is close to the summed energy density of the cosmic microwave background (CMB) and the cosmic neutrino background. The Big Bang hypothesis predicts that the CBR should have the same energy density as the binding energy density of the primordial helium, which is much greater than the binding energy density of the non-primordial elements; so it gives almost the same result. However, the steady-state model does not predict the angular distribution of the microwave background temperature accurately (as the standard ΛCDM paradigm does). Dark fluid is made up of negative mass. Negative mass is just opposite of positive mass as the name suggest it has all the opposite properties as the positive mass poses. It may be detected in between the cluster of galaxies because in between these clusters there is a dark void where we found very less dark matter and dark energy scientist think there must be dark fluid which must feel these void. Quantum mechanics predicts the existence of what are usually called ''zero-point'' energies for the strong, the weak and the electromagnetic interactions, where ''zero-point'' refers to the energy of the system at temperature T=0, or the lowest quantized energy level of a quantum mechanical system. Although the term ''zero-point energy'' applies to all three of these interactions in nature, customarily (and hereafter in this article) it is used in reference only to the electromagnetic case. In conventional quantum physics, the origin of zero-point energy is the Heisenberg uncertainty principle, which states that, for a moving particle such as an electron, the more precisely one measures the position, the less exact the best possible measurement of its momentum (mass times velocity), and vice versa. The least possible uncertainty of position times momentum is specified by Planck's constant, h. A parallel uncertainty exists between measurements involving time and energy (and other so-called conjugate variables in quantum mechanics). This minimum uncertainty is not due to any correctable flaws in measurement, but rather reflects an intrinsic quantum fuzziness in the very nature of energy and matter springing from the wave nature of the various quantum fields. This leads to the concept of zero-point energy. Zero-point energy is the energy that remains when all other energy is removed from a system. This behaviour is demonstrated by, for example, liquid helium. As the temperature is lowered to absolute zero, helium remains a liquid, rather than freezing to a solid, owing to the irremovable zero-point energy of its atomic motions. (Increasing the pressure to 25 atmospheres will cause helium to freeze.) A harmonic oscillator is a useful conceptual tool in physics. Classically a harmonic oscillator, such as a mass on a spring, can always be brought to rest. However a quantum harmonic oscillator does not permit this. A residual motion will always remain due to the requirements of the Heisenberg uncertainty principle, resulting in a zero-point energy, equal to 1/2 hf, where f is the oscillation frequency. Electromagnetic radiation can be pictured as waves flowing through space at the speed of light. The waves are not waves of anything substantive, but are ripples in a state of a theoretically defined field. However these waves do carry energy (and momentum), and each wave has a specific direction, frequency and polarization state. Each wave represents a ''propagating mode of the electromagnetic field.'' Each mode is equivalent to a harmonic oscillator and is thus subject to the Heisenberg uncertainty principle. From this analogy, every mode of the field must have 1/2 hf as its average minimum energy. That is a tiny amount of energy in each mode, but the number of modes is enormous, and indeed increases per unit frequency interval as the square of the frequency. The spectral energy density is determined by the density of modes times the energy per mode and thus increases as the cube of the frequency per unit frequency per unit volume. The product of the tiny energy per mode times the huge spatial density of modes yields a very high theoretical zero-point energy density per cubic centimeter. From this line of reasoning, quantum physics predicts that all of space must be filled with electromagnetic zero-point fluctuations (also called the zero-point field) creating a universal sea of zero-point energy. The density of this energy depends critically on where in frequency the zero-point fluctuations cease. Since space itself is thought to break up into a kind of quantum foam at a tiny distance scale called the Planck scale (10-33 cm), it is argued that the zero point fluctuations must cease at a corresponding Planck frequency (1043 Hz). If that is the case, the zero-point energy density would be 110 orders of magnitude greater than the radiant energy at the center of the Sun. How could such an enormous energy not be wildly evident? There is one major difference between zero-point electromagnetic radiation and ordinary electromagnetic radiation. Turning again to the Heisenberg uncertainty principle one finds that the lifetime of a given zero-point photon, viewed as a wave, corresponds to an average distance traveled of only a fraction of its wavelength. Such a wave ''fragment'' is somewhat different than an ordinary plane wave and it is difficult to know how to interpret this. WIMPs (weakly interacting massive particle) are the building blocks of dark matter. When lots of WIMP combine they form the dark matter. They are produced when Big Bang had happened like the other elementary particles. We can't detect them because they easily cross the other elementary particles and they also don't emit any light or absorb so that we can't see them. But when they interact with themselve then they produce a Y-rays which we can detect through a high light sensitive tubes. For their existence they transfer energy from one place to another. In front of the black holes, Virtual Matter and antimatter is separated by Event Horizon, which emits the hawking radiation later. First we know about origin of virtual particles. Whenever we see any empty place or black spot in this universe, we feel that there is nothing in existence there but actually there is something that are different types of fields like Electromagnetic Field, Higgs Field etc. Who constantly exchange energy among themselves. But how do we exchange energy to this? Let us understand this by an example. Let's assume that there are two electrons that are in excited states, if we take these two electrons close to each other, then they will repel each other through electromagnetic field. In this, each electron gives light mild shocks to the electromagnetic field, due to which the shocks reappear to the other electron, after which it again shakes the electro magnetic field, so that the cycle continues goes on. But how often does this cycle occur? How do we find out? For this, we have to get the help of Perturabation theory. In this we first mathmatically add different interactions and some later interactions, which gives us virtual particles. Let understand this with our electron example. We can see that whenever the electron is interacting with the electromagnetic field, it is transferring energy, momentum and single packet of photon, which we call a virtual photon. Similarly, these interactions are very often and are different in different fields and in each interaction it transfer a particle - virtual particle. These states of interactions are called intermediate state or virtual state. But in reality such states don't exist. And virtual particles never exist individually but how can we say that. For this we have a theory of Feynman diagram. Richard Feynman made a diagram in which he told that which intermediate state we can consider, during the interaction of a particle and which can be ignored. Whatever particles enter in this diagram and leave it, they are real particles. But those particles that begin in the same diagram and finishes within the diagram, we call it virtual particle. We think that virtual particles travel only in space and not only that but they do have some properties, even if they are different from real particles like they can have any value of mass, it can travel with the speed of light or even faster and it can also go back in time. This happens to them because they do not physically exist. In the first example, we saw that electron were repelling each other, by transferring virtual photon between them. But what would happen if there were attractive forces between them. Meaning if there is an electron and the other positron, then how can it come closer to each other by transferring virtual photon between them? Let understand it from a diagram in which the electron is sending one single photon into positron. We will have to consider every single virtual photon that emits the electron and is absorbing positron. Some photons that are coming from positron are not able to go into the electron and cross it and some virtual photon is not moving in direction of electron and going in its opposite direction, due to which attractive force is being generated between them. But how are these photon journeying between these particles? Actually they are not traveling anymore. These virtual particles exist everywhere for trillionth of trillionth of a second, which store quantum energy in itself, which release energy on each and every vibration in the quantum field. You must have heard that many particles and antiparticle came into existence in each and every second, which are called vaccum fluctuation or zero point energy, I have already made a video on it, if you want to watch it then click on the i card. It does not happen with virtual particles that they come into existence and go again, but what if someone interact with them? This will give us Hawking radiation, in which Stephen Hawking first took the help of virtual particles to explain his theory. Water on Mars today exists as Ice and also exist in small quantities as vapour in the atmosphere. Some where it is present as a low volume brine in Shallow Martin soil.Abundant water ice is also present at the Martin South Pole. More than 5 million cubic km of ice have been identified at or near the surface of the mars enough to cover the whole planet to a depth of 35 m or 115 feet. There are no large standing bodies of liquid water exist because the average atmospheric pressure is 600 Pascal about 0.6% of earth mean sea level pressure leading to rapid evaporation or freezing of liquid water and sublimation of water ice. About 3.8 million years ago, Mars may have dense atmosphere and higher surface temperature allowing vast amount of liquid water on on the surface, possibly including a large ocean that may have covered one third of the planet. On December 9, 2013, NASA's report based on evidences from Curiosity Rover studying Aeolis Palus, Gale crater contained an ancient fresh water lake that could be a hospitable environment for microbial life. Gullies and slope lines along Cliffs and crater walls suggest that flowing water continues to shape the surface of Mars. Few days ago the scientists saw a 50 miles or 82 km wide, 2 km deep crater which can hold up to 2200 cubic km of water same as the volume of Canada's great bear Lake. But here the water is in the form of a ice but we can use it for the survival of future colonist and may even enable them to returned back home, as water could be split into hydrogen andoxygen for rocket fuel and thus we cansay that we get a lake of water on Mars. The crater is found in the Northern lowlands of mass near the planets north pole which is known as Olympia Undae for its wavy, dune - filled terrain. The composite image was taken by the mars Express High Resolution Stereo Camera or HRSC and was actually formed from five different "stripes". The icy crater is named after chief rocket engineer and spacecraft designer Sergey Korolev, known as the father of Soviet space technology and head of iconic space exploration missions including the Sputnik, Vostok and Voskhod program. From this line of reasoning, quantum physics predicts that all of space must be filled with electromagnetic zero-point fluctuations (also called the zero-point field) creating a universal sea of zero-point energy. The density of this energy depends critically on where in frequency the zero-point fluctuations cease. Since space itself is thought to break up into a kind of quantum foam at a tiny distance scale called the Planck scale (10-33 cm), it is argued that the zero point fluctuations must cease at a corresponding Planck frequency (1043 Hz). If that is the case, the zero-point energy density would be 110 orders of magnitude greater than the radiant energy at the center of the Sun. How could such an enormous energy not be wildly evident? There is one major difference between zero-point electromagnetic radiation and ordinary electromagnetic radiation. Turning again to the Heisenberg uncertainty principle one finds that the lifetime of a given zero-point photon, viewed as a wave, corresponds to an average distance traveled of only a fraction of its wavelength. Such a wave ''fragment'' is somewhat different than an ordinary plane wave and it is difficult to know how to interpret this. On the other hand, zero-point energy appears to have been directly measured as current noise in a resistively shunted Josephson junction by Koch, van Harlingen and Clarke up to a frequency of about 0.6 Tz. No proof was offered. At the time of the sighting, the technology to put a satellite into polar orbit was not yet known — by either the US or Russia. In 1963 an American astronaut, Gordon Cooper, reported seeing a UFO while in orbit. This report is not listed in any official NASA documents. Unfortunately, it’s not dark matter, but it is the next best thing. The detectors at the observatory have spotted the decay of xenon-124, the rarest event ever recorded in human history. The XENON experiment is designed to detect dark matter, which is not an easy task. The reason that dark matter is so mysterious is that it pretty much never does anything, which makes it hard to spot. Dark matter doesn’t give off light, or have any sort of magnetic field, and it almost never interacts with normal matter in any way.To even have a chance at seeing the effect of a dark matter particle, scientists have had to come up with a bunch of outlandish experiments. One of those is the XENON observatory, which is essentially a giant tank containing 3.5 tons of liquid xenon sitting in a laboratory nearly a mile underground. The experiment uses xenon because it’s one of the most stable elements in the universe. Pretty much nothing reacts with xenon, especially a mile underground, making it the ideal dark matter detector. After all, dark matter reacts with xenon as little as it reacts with anything else, so the XENON team can crank the sensitivity on their equipment to 11. While that hasn’t been enough to find dark matter just yet, it was enough to spot the decay of a xenon-124 atom. Xenon-124 is a radioactive isotope that takes about 1.8 sextillion years to decay, on average. That’s about 130 billion times longer than the lifespan of the entire universe until now. Seeing a xenon-124 atom decay is, shall we say, uncommon. And yet, the XENON observatory spotted one, and the detector was sensitive enough to pick it out and record it. If the XENON detector can spot an ultra-rare event like xenon-124 decay, it has a good chance of also spotting a dark matter particle colliding with one of the xenon atoms inside that tank. In astrophysics and physical cosmology, Olbers' paradox, named after the German astronomer Heinrich Wilhelm Olbers (1758–1840), also known as the "dark night sky paradox", is the argument that the darkness of the night sky conflicts with the assumption of an infinite and eternal static universe. The darkness of the night sky is one of the pieces of evidence for a dynamic universe, such as the Big Bang model. In the hypothetical case that the universe is static, homogeneous at a large scale, and populated by an infinite number of stars, then any line of sight from Earth must end at the (very bright) surface of a star and hence the night sky should be completely illuminated and very bright. This contradicts the observed darkness and non-uniformity of the night. The redshift hypothesised in the Big Bang model would by itself explain the darkness of the night sky even if the universe were infinitely old. In the Steady state theory the universe is infinitely old and uniform in time as well as space. There is no Big Bang in this model, but there are stars and quasars at arbitrarily great distances. The expansion of the universe causes the light from these distant stars and quasars to redshift, so that the total light flux from the sky remains finite. Thus the observed radiation density (the sky brightness of extragalactic background light) can be independent of finiteness of the universe. Mathematically, the total electromagnetic energy density (radiation energy density) in thermodynamic equilibrium from Planck's law. E.g. for temperature 2.7 K it is 40 fJ/m3 ... 4.5×10−31 kg/m3 and for visible temperature 6000 K we get 1 J/m3 ... 1.1×10−17 kg/m3. But the total radiation emitted by a star (or other cosmic object) is at most equal to the total nuclear binding energy of isotopes in the star. For the density of the observable universe of about 4.6×10−28 kg/m3 and given the known abundance of the chemical elements, the corresponding maximal radiation energy density of 9.2×10−31 kg/m3, i.e. temperature 3.2 K (matching the value observed for the optical radiation temperature by Arthur Eddington). This is close to the summed energy density of the cosmic microwave background (CMB) and the cosmic neutrino background. The Big Bang hypothesis predicts that the CBR should have the same energy density as the binding energy density of the primordial helium, which is much greater than the binding energy density of the non-primordial elements; so it gives almost the same result. However, the steady-state model does not predict the angular distribution of the microwave background temperature accurately (as the standard ΛCDM paradigm does).
