In fact, for Halloween every year we have our son give away almost all his candy to other trick or treaters. It teaches him to be kind and generous at the same time, and also gets rid of the ridiculous the amount of candy kids get on Halloween. This year we are going to be doing more of these awesome candy science experiments with the treats we get!

Science is Magic, Just ask My 4 Year Old! If you follow me on Instagram, you would have seen that my 4 year old has gotten VERY into magic tricks. Checking out library books to learn new tricks and I'm almost sure he doesn't really understand the difference between magic and science, because there really isn't a difference right? I mean SCIENCE IS MAGIC! He love of science and magic is due to him watching The Sward in the Stone for the first time. He thought it was so neat that Merlin did Science Experiments just like him! LOL. Honestly his new found love for all things magical and scientific (again same thing in his head) is what started this Science Saturday Series in the first place! So needless to say... I'm SUPER EXCIED to share this weeks video with you! Read full article at http://wp.me/p74ZTL-mL

Looking for the right DIY gift idea? Try these science experiments! Every year we make all our friends and neighbors gifts for Christmas and deliver them to their door. It's a tradition we started years ago and still continue. So what kind of gifts? Well, for us we like to create one family gift, and then one gift for the kids, and one gift for Mom and Dad, then put it all into a gift basket. I can't tell you about this years baskets because I don't want to give anything away! Although, its very probable that some of these experiments will be gifted! Every year we give homemade gifts to our friends, over the years we have gotten pretty creative. One year we even did a bunch of cool science experiments that double as gifts. But this year, I came up with a really neat idea (at least I think so) Science Kits! I've had so many local friends say "I see all the science you do and I would love to try but getting the stuff together is such a hassle" After hearing it a few times, I thought Why Not Put Science Kits Together FOR My Friends? And so, the idea was born. To see a COMPLETE list of supplies - check out the blog post http://www.raisingdv.com/diy-custom-science-kits-gift/

Freedom to wear what they want, listen to what they want, eat what they want and even go where they want. Rather than having them crash and burn because of all the choices and sudden freedom lets celebrate them along the way.
